Coming in first tonight was Mr_Nobody, followed by myself. Popular powers included Leadership (as usual), Mind Blast, and Shape Change.
Next week, Thursday the 23rd of September - Draft!
400 point draft tournament.
Two rounds.
Attendees will be drafting characters, feats, and BFCs one at a time from the "virtual boosters" (sandwich bags with five figures and a card element) supplied by the judge. Once you've drafted your figures, build a 400 point team from them and begin, as close to 6:30 as possible!
Any Questions?
Drafting:
In the past the Judge has seperated figures into seperate bags to reflect what you might pull in a booster, with various utility figures spread out evenly (eg, if there are only three TKers available, they won't all be in the same bag). These bags include a variety of new and old figures. Each person at a table begins with one bag, chooses a character, and then passes the bag along. This continues until all players are happy to cease drafting (you can drop out at any time if you have enough characters).
Players may keep any characters that they draft, or put them back into the box-o-dupes after the event.
Prize support include LE Toxin and booster pulls. $5 per player goes towards purchasing boosters for the prize pool.
Thanoseid is quite close.
I had planned to let Zero_Cochrane pick the tourney, since he'll be judging, but his brisbane prep took up too much time and he didn't pre-call what the tournament would be.
SO I went with- Next week, Thursday the 30th of September - Comic Accurate Teams
*500 point constructed Golden Age tournament; four actions per turn.
*Two rounds, two battlefield conditions.
*All teams must be comic accurate.
The schedule actually called for this week to be the second wave of web markers rather than the Daken. It's a huge coincidence that cropped up on the week im away (its a middle week in the LE run). But considering how dodgy that looks I wouldn't object if Zero would rather make Daken the prize.

I'd complain, but only because I want Daken.
Then again, I won't be back in time for a delayed Daken either, so I guess use what you want.
Coming in first tonight was myself (West Coast Avengers), with Brendan coming in second (Justice League Europe?), and Sgt Grimes in third (Avengers). The Iron Man and War Machine duo figure performed rather well tonight (two of the top three teams)! We had a strong turnout of eight people, especially considering that Mr_Nobody, Blinj, and Cap'n Dave were all absent.
Next week, Thursday the 7th of October - Dracula, Lord of the Vampires!
300 point constructed Golden Age tournament; three actions per turn.
Two rounds, two battlefield conditions.
When constructing your force, the highest point figure on your team is considered to be Dracula (disguised as some other character).
Dracula possesses the following powers on every click: Stealth, Steal Energy, Regeneration, and Outwit. Dracula has the Monster keyword.
Any Questions?
Prize support include LE Daken and booster pulls. $5 per player goes towards purchasing boosters for the prize pool.
(Obviously each battle will depict Draculas from alternate dimensions fighting for supremacy. I'm expecting at least one Blacula!)

Furthermore, if you want to use a character who lacks a non-generic keyword that he should have for comic-accuracy purposes, you can PM the judge (Mr_Nobody) for permission to use that character on a non-generic team. You need to get the judge's written assent before the tournament date.
(A good example would be Gamora on a Guardians of the Galaxy team, or veteran Cyborg Superman as Sinestro Corps.)
not chopped liver per say.. Zero just felt the need to mention high profile players (Mr_nobody and myself being national champions and Cap'n Dave being Maccon champ). you're just a lower caliber of player.... like Sgt Grimes.

Sadly Mr_nobody would not be in your league of "high profile players". He would be in the elite group of winners with multiple national championships. Even sader for you is that the only other person in this group of 2 is the "low caliber of player", Sgt Grimes. So that said I'm am sure anyone would be glad to be in this group, as it is quite clear that we didn't fluke a national win.
