voting: i typically will vote against the incombant. get out you bum! i really have no idea what's going on in polictics. now voting against more taxes on booze was important.

I am just wondering why they are assuming that all the write-in votes are for one person...

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, votes for write-in candidates were leading the U.S. Senate race with 81,876 votes and 41 percent of the vote

(they are celebrating because it is in the lead...granted they haven't gone through and seen who the write-ins are for(there were 156 write-in candidates) or if they are even spelled correctly)

Because news networks like to report before each other, and the only way to do that during elections is to make educated guesses.

There are also absentee ballots that need to be counted as well...and it is only a 5% difference as of right now which will be a lower number once they count up who the actual votes are for.

It could possibly determine Illinois governorship.
