I just thought it was silly to have people on your friends list that you don't interact with.
Some of them I couldn't even remember why they were there in the first place.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
In looking at the micro-set sculpt of the Hulk (I don't have mine yet, but I took a look at someone's video of the six boosters he bought) it strikes me that the Red Hulk sculpt looks very much like, well, a Hulk, just in a more aggressive pose. As there's been some speculation that we'll still have at least an Uncommon Hulk coming in the main set (#24), I wonder if they might have mixed things up a little by reusing that sculpt in green rather than simply using the one they've been using so far for Hulk in this set? Just a thought.
Well, I plan on going to play at the venue today and while I don't have much interest in the various Hulk sets/mini-sets outside of figures with the "Fantastic Four" keyword, I'll pick up a couple single-figure boosters if they're available.
Since I have the WoS Red Hulk and don't play him, I don't know if this new version would get any play from me...but hey, I'm open to being won over.

Well the better question might be...Bay City What?
The "what" completes the answer to this trivia question: Following the enormous success of his TV drama about a police precinct ("Hill Street Blues"), Steven Bochco came up with a similar drama, also for NBC, about a minor league baseball team. It lasted all of four episodes before getting yanked from the network's schedule. I liked it, tho'...and the ensemble cast was pretty impressive (Michael Nouri was the team's manager, Ken Olin was one of the players, Dennis Franz was the pitching coach and a relatively unknown actress named Sharon Stone was one of the players' wives).
Anyway, it was called "Bay City Blues."
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
So one of the same guys that was trolling awhile back in my Ames thread is now posting in my Des Moines tournament thread. Why do they feel a need to promote their venue in my thread when they have one of their own? The venue he's promoting is going to quit having tournaments in 2012 and the owner complains about having to buy prize support. This kind of bugs me. The big reason I'm starting up the 2nd venue is because a bunch of players from that other venue messaged me to let me know they are all fleeing that other venue due to the owner screwing over players. What the hell?
I sent TaT a message so hopefully he can delete the guy's post.

And from what I've heard about Cuddyer, he might be a real asset in the clubhouse, something that has to be a consideration after some of the stuff that's come out about what went on last season...
I'd prefer that we keep Cuddy right here, but I realize we have a lot of money wrapped up in paying out part-time catcher.
If the dude would move out from behind the dish, he'd do better, methinks.
Although, the only other spot I could see him playing would be first, but that being part-timed, too.
But, we've also got a lot of money in our part time first baseman. (Although, I'm a little more forgiving of Morneau's situation.) Mauer's excuses are questionable. The Twins' training staff is questionable, too.

That's where I was going with Morneau. Valid reasons in most people's eyes.
In regards to the training staff: They've got their hands tieded. Not trying to dismiss anything, but if they say something okay with a $27 player and he goes out and hurts himself in the same fashion, that's falls back onto the training staff.
I never understood the stardom with Mauer. He's a catcher. How big of a deal could he be?
If you've ever tried catching, that, in and of itself, is a big deal, in my opinion.
But, I somewhat agree with you. He hits for a better than average average when he's healthy. He doesn't have much power, but he does get in the RBIs when he needs them. He use to be somewhat dependable.
Is he worth the ludicrous amounts of money? All things considered: No.
But, it was the best that the Twins have had in a while.

I know catching is tough. However, I don't quite understand a couple of things. First, how do you get a shoulder injury while on the DL? That injury was never explained that I know of. Second, how is a $180 million professional athlete not in shape for the beginning of the season? How does he say that he "thought" he'd be back in shape by the end of spring training? I think that professional training staffs should know what the athletes need to do for conditioning to prepare themselves for a season. Now, I am a Mauer fan, and was glad the Twins signed him. I would have been livid if they hadn't. However, the things that have come out make me a little skeptical. It just seems like some questions aren't being asked. If he can't continue at catcher, then by all means, move him to first. (But what do you do with Morneau?) I dunno. I could be wrong. It just seems like they can't get this guy fit to play. And as much as I like the guy, at some point, you have to cut your losses. Especially as he gets older, and his injuries have more effect on him. I think they need to decide where he's gonna play, and he needs to play there. He's played 8 seasons already, and he's not getting younger. If he can't be consistent this year, then maybe we need to look at other options. But that's just my two cents.
But, if you ever make it to Minnesota, 'Rage, I'd still be happy to go to a game with you!

I agree, a million dollar professional sports player should be in proper shape and, to a certain extant, know their limits and what should be possible.
I'm a Mauer fan as well, but to give a guy a contract for that price. The Twins have got to be crazy. He's had one season where he hit for power. He usually hits for average, but doesn't handle too many RBIs. Sounds like Todd Helton now, doesn't it? The thing is Todd's in his late 30s. Where's Mauer going to be at that age, if he can make it in the game that far into the future.
I just hate that professional athletes get paid more in a year than what I, and maybe most of us, will make in a life time and want to be treated like that are the end all of that team. Like the team wouldn't survive without them and if they don't match their asking price, they'll peddle their wears someplace else. No longer player for the love of the game and the loyalty to the ball club.
I'll admit, I diverted from the Mauer discussion and began a conversation with myself about the one factor of baseball I dislike.
And dog, of my plans of going to SDCC fall through, and it doesn't look good, I may have some time off in April if money doesn't become a factor.

I'm going to have to say that I pretty much agree with you. And while we're at it, I'm just going to throw this sports-related pet peeve out there: I don't care for it when NFL players celebrate the smallest thing. Like making a big deal that they caught a pass for 9 yards and a first down, or tackled someone. Dude, that's your job. I'd like to be a waiter in a restaurant where an NFL player eats. After bringing them their food, I'd do a little dance and strut around and say, "Yeah! I brought you your food like I was supposed to! Look at how good I am!"
