Time works against S/V is the worst way. Even though he can land a lot of hits, he either has to foregor PsiBlast or forgo running further away, and between the relatively low AV and character's other defenses (PC, high D, shape change, sesnes, IMP) he has to get lucky to beat a gaunlet-wearer to activation.
Defense powers (espeically including stealth) are probably the most important thing against him. And a Gauntlet, that is.
Hulk with full gauntlet wrecked S/V. Hulk went 3-0.
But in the real world, in which people don't run up to each other on impulse or out of politeness, s/v vs. hulk is at least a coin flip because hulk will never catch him for the attack. The entire meta is now coin flips between various 300 point monsters.
Mouse, same idea applies to your post. S/V can take out one weak figure and run if the team is balanced. Otherwise, coin flip again.

Godhood Hulk WILL catch him. And beat him. So no, its not a coin flip at that point.
You have to get Hulk before he gets there. That mean no hit-and run and hide.
"And I shall make little coins with my head on them and place them in the thongs of your strippers."
How does one run indefinitely from a long-ranged fig with +1 to all its stats (possibly +3 movement).
Most of these guys will have 11-14 move and 5 range with HSS, and AV of 12. Anywhere close to the center of the board they will be able to hit S/V. At best he gets onto RS/PW, but even then he's probably got to land two consecutive hits on a likely high-D piece to win.
These maps don't go on forever, and most Gauntlet candidates can reach most of the board from the center.
He effectively has a 22 movement with a free shot on the way. Not to mention all of the indoor maps in which he can break a wall and run faster than you can catch him.
If Hulk takes a hit early, his mobility gets hurt big time... but he doesn't get any easier to kill. I think if he wins map roll, Hulk's got the advantage.
If SaV gets map roll... I'm going to have to start looking at different maps to see if there's anything "maze-like" to offer a concrete advantage.
More importantly, this is meta. If you don't have the ability to cut through imperv, you will lose a large tournament. Hulk might win a few rounds but he will never run the table. He gets embarrassed, for example, by Odin. Same with all big move +SS figs. They're great in anything but meta, where you have to make your attacks stick.

Funny you mention that... I was thinking the Prison Map was the best to fight hulk as well

My oh my... are we getting into a "one team doesn't beat everything" scenario?

I disagree... if SaV get deep into any hallway, all Hulk's got to do is set up in the middle of one of those hallways with a 12 movement and he can hit any square in there and SaV doesn't have a way out that isn't within 12 squares. You want to outrun, but not get cornered.
And I will say again... GG Dr Strange. SV cannout let him reach 2 or 3, becuase he cannot hid from him if he does. And he has a hard time hitting him, and if he does he takes damage he cannot recover from. If Strange activates, he can Steal Energy or Regen back clicks the SV will have to deal again and take Mystics again.
SV ate my excellent Supergirl/BB team cold, but he could not deal with Strange.

As I said before, most strong figs are a coin flip against each other, but Odin full gauntlet is still the most dominant I think because of his healing power and his insanely long dial, not to mention the fact that he essentially has 6 straight clix of running shot pulse wave (you can choose one or the other via gauntlet).

I didn't say S/V was the best figure ever. I just said he could at least force a draw with Hulk. Odin with gauntlet is the best. Have you playtested him yet? I have, and to be honest I was very skeptical before I did. I am now a believer.
I've only played against him once, but Odin went down to Supergirl/Beast Boy.
if he had hit a string of IMPs I'd have lost, I admit it's a weakness of my team. But Supergirl is very mobile and has theme help that also makes great tie-up. Outsider is great againt gaunlet people, too.

Outsiders is nice, but in reality you'll probably be in a ton of trouble if you haven't KO'ed him by the time he gets to 2 or 3. I'd also be very tempted to switch into the T-Rex.
How did it go down? Did he try to run away until he could get to 2 or 3 or was it a quick engagement?
