That meant in the sense of revealing all mafia members. Claiming investigator and getting rid of one (or two in his case) is a valid tactic.
And regarding everyone else dying....Robo was the first to reach his win condition, and thus wins the game. get_1 wins by default.
Honestly, some of you seem to have double standards. I KNOW I SERIOUSLY SCREWED THE POOCH AND SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN RULES ON THE FIRST POST, however, you're like "oh the day phase not being 24 hours is unfair" and then when the night phases were 24 hours you complain then too! I PM'd BOTH times when I hadn't received mafia targets, and it was when the person I PM'd was online.
Kinda weird to have a bulletproof survivor isn't it?
I can't really complain about that cause my survivors are generally overpowered too.

Yup. Just wanted to point out that it hardly seemed like the Town was overpowered when taken in context of how large the mafia could have potentially been.

But how did we die. Random pokedisease?

48 hours is more than standard time for day phases here. It gives the town an advantage, preventing as many no lynch days which hurt the town.
24 hours is standard mafia night phase time but mafias historically send their targets last because they discuss them with their teammates before deciding what to do whereas townies just decide and send. Therefore, not being flexable with the night phase deadline also gives the town an advantage because the mafia ends up missing nightkills.
I personally don't have a problem with extended day phases because on a personal level, I'd rather see someone lynched almost every day in every game but it isn't a double standard to be upset about two things that both hurt the mafia.

Well we did kinda invest a month into it.
Just like its annoying playing a broken video game, its annoying playing a broken mafia game.

Sure, it was "balanced" but both things made it unfun.
A small mafia trying to kill a large but ignorant town? That's paranoia and debate and mafia trying to be sneaky to overcome and the town desperately trying to figure out who is bad before the mafia gets them.
Big mafia trying to kill a relatively small town that pretty much knows who they are right off the bat but they almost all need to vote to lynch? That's day after day of Get1 calling me out for obviously being mafia and me shrugging because I know its obvious but I probably won't be lynched anyways.
Seriously. I mean, since I showed up in the writeup, confirming both the tracker and the reverse tracker's results AND everybody I could possibly deflect to had also shown up in the writeup, confirming them as town.
Boggles the mind!

Modkillable offense, I'd say, not to mention really poor play on Leead's part.
Worst still, why would he do that if he knew he could only win with the mafia... I mean how could he know the maifa wouldn't just go after him?

Does seem a little retarded in terms of balance.

Then it should have specified that.

Was this also spelled out in the rules? Knowing you're in a "race" to meet your factions win condition can well alter the play of the game.

Well this is true...

That no one believes and or follows to unbalance it again...
The fact is that mafia can send in actions for team mates. A non active mafia is no where near as harmful to the town as a non active townie IMO. Honestly, you could have had 5 vigs and 5 doctors and I am not sure even THAT would balance out a nearly 50% mafia game...

I think you're being a bit harsh. Was this his first time modding? I agree that the game balance was totally out of whack, but the fact that a neutral could win and cause everyone else to end the game I think balanced it out for everyone. Although everyone should have been made aware of that possibility. My apologies if that was the case and I just missed it Rez.
I did like the game FWIW.

I think having everyone show in the write up was a definite mistake. There was no room for anything. If you were called out as town you could simply point to yourself. If you were called out as mafia you had no where to go.
48 hour day phases, as you admit, were off.
You really should have PM'd me, as the only person putting any effort into getting the night actions in.
The win was different and unexpected and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
ReZ has modded some games on another forum we're both on, were the mafia games are all played with really explicit write-ups, basically telling you who did what to who.
I really dislike it, but at the same time you can hardly go "Ur doing it wrong!"
It always feels ReZ's roles tell me something though. Like there are jokes to be had, but often the punchline doesn't translate that well. It's like reading subtitles for an idiomatic phrase.
I didn't think I needed to point out the win conditions....am I correct in saying that the town win when all threats are vanquished? And mafia win when they are in majority?
