Each Blu-ray has a sticker with a code that you can redeem for up to $12 in "movie cash" towards X-Men First Class. I bought X-2 and The Last Stand. At $7.99 each, plus free tix to XMFC, what is there not to like?
The Last Stand?

It was stunning in parts. Particularly the relationship between Charles/Mystique/Erik. Mystique still remains the best damn thing about the X-films. And love Magneto. [considering I'm more pro-Magneto/Malcolm X than Charles Xavier/Martin Luther King.] The last scene of the film is too much for me.
There just always feels there's an X-factor (no pun intended) missing with the X-Men films. The dialogue often feels stilted -- hinging upon cliche and one-liners -- and it always seems to be more about "wow look at the amazing cool powers this person can do!" rather than expanding on their personality. (That said, there are gems, like Iceman's "coming out" scene. And Rogue is stunningly presented.)
And I hate pointlessly not making Moira Scottish, and Banshee Irish. It's like they used Cerebro, but only got the mutants which were in New York state, lol.
I just wish I or Darren Aronofsky had directed it (lol).
Okay, but the important question is - am I going to be able to tolerate whatever they've done with Emma in it?

Yeah, apart from the fact she has diamond powers when it's clearly supposed to be her in the Hellfire Club years, she feels really well done. Like, actually impressively good with her powers. I wouldn't say she as attractive as she should be, but I suppose it's hard to cast someone who can both act and look plastic perfect.
Point well taken. Which is why I paid $7.99 for the Blu-ray and never even bothered buying The Last Stand on DVD. It's still golden to see Patrick Stewart as Prof X and Ian McKellen as Magnito, but the story itself was utter and complete crapola. So I bought for nostalgia more than anything else, you might say.

X3 had a few snipits that I liked, but that was it. Multiple Man, "I'm the Juggernaut, #####!", and... ok so that was it.

I'm the Juggernaut ***** was classic. The afternoon before I saw X3 in theaters, my brother showed me the cartoon with that phrase just dubbed over it. Heard it in the movie and busted up laughing.
Last Stand was okk, but I felt let down compared to the first two. Hopefully I'll get to First Class sometime next week. Movies are a lot better when the theater isn't packed, so I don't mind waiting a week or two.
Can I just say that Rachel McAdams as Regina George in Mean Girls is an extraordinary acting performance. Like, watching her in Red Eye / Time Traveller's Wife / Any other film, she's a completely different person. To such an extent that I thought it was a different Rachel McAdams, with the same name.
I think older Emma Frost worked better in this instance though. More imperious, and in control of her own fate.

Haven't watched Mean Girls in a while. She was good in The Hot Chick though. She seems to be very versatile. She is also beautiful without being skanky. Huge plus in my book. I do prefer her with dark hair though. IE Sherlock Holmes.

Agreed, she's more sophisticated and grown up with dark hair. Wedding Crashers is another good one for her. Speaking of Sherlokc Holmes, when does the sequel come out, I know they were supposedly making one.

Even taking into account my Cyke fanboy'ism - and I think most people would agree he was pathetically underused in the films - Last Stand was ridiculous for going the route they did. Killing off Cyclops just because you're miffed the actor is also going to appear in "The Other Comic Company's Movie" was not only petty but it just weakens any attempt at Dark Phoenix.
