Saw Django Unchained this weekend. Drove 45 minutes to the nearest town that got it in. Worth every penny, in my opinion. If you ever get in a mood where you need to see some gratuitous violence and lots of profanity, or are just a fan of "bad" movies that are actually awesome, give this a try. My only regret is that my brother, with whom I saw Inglourious Basterds (sp?), had to go back to school before I went to see it. I really wanted to see it with him, but oh well . . .

On a return flight from Zurich yesterday, while flying on the remarkably awesome Swiss, I saw Expendables 2 (insultingly bad-basically a re-skinned playthrough of Black Ops), the new Total Recall (surprisingly watchable, and keeping the action on Earth instead of Mars was a very good choice. Lots more Blade Runner-style scenery), and Bourne Legacy (I'm choosing to call it "Clint Barton: Before the Bow" and that made it even better).

I saw Django at the Premiere about 5 days before Christmas.

It was awesome.

Violence, and blood.

No nudity. ( boo )


The local fish wrap gave it 4.5 Stars out of 5.

I saw Superman vs the Elite. Probably one of my favorite Superman Animated movies.

Oooh, good. Wal-Mart had all the DC flicks on for bucks before Christmas so I picked up the ones I didn't have. I'm now looking forward to this.

Personally, I watched Paranorman this morning. I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about it. I was entertained, and my son definitely enjoyed it. It's got a Tim Burton feel to the animation, but I found it much more enjoyable. There's some great lines it in that parents will probably catch more than the kids as well. Definitely will purchase it down the road.

Resident Evil: After Life and Resident Evil: Retribution.

They were RE movies, so yeah Now I've seen them all, and well apparently there will be another one (#7?).

Well recommended Wade. I had the chance to toss this in the DVD player last night and came away from it quite satisfied.

I saw Looper and Total Recall.

Looper was great.

Total Recall was...meh.

Catching up...just watched "The Grey" about a week ago, and loved it.

Saw D'jango last week. Good movie, but very hard to watch at times.

Also watched Equilibrium last night. Surprised by how well it was made.

Watched 'Tommy Boy' on Netflix tonight. The wife, kids and I have been watching a gamut of old comedies lately (kids seem to have this thing for Adam Sandler right now), including:

What are you smoking?! Total Recall is one of the most classic scifi flicks made.

I agree that Looper was boss!

I should have mentioned that it was the NEW Total Recall.

Anyway...I saw the movie Iron Sky. It's about Nazis living on the moon invading Earth.

It's about as dumb as it sounds.

I also saw Snow White and the Huntsman. Boring.
