Saw Django Unchained this weekend. Drove 45 minutes to the nearest town that got it in. Worth every penny, in my opinion. If you ever get in a mood where you need to see some gratuitous violence and lots of profanity, or are just a fan of "bad" movies that are actually awesome, give this a try. My only regret is that my brother, with whom I saw Inglourious Basterds (sp?), had to go back to school before I went to see it. I really wanted to see it with him, but oh well . . .
On a return flight from Zurich yesterday, while flying on the remarkably awesome Swiss, I saw Expendables 2 (insultingly bad-basically a re-skinned playthrough of Black Ops), the new Total Recall (surprisingly watchable, and keeping the action on Earth instead of Mars was a very good choice. Lots more Blade Runner-style scenery), and Bourne Legacy (I'm choosing to call it "Clint Barton: Before the Bow" and that made it even better).

Saw Django last night (actually was able to see it at the New Beverly here in LA, a theater owned by Quentin Tarantino that usually shows old, rare, and/or grindhouse type movies). I loved it, definitely one of, is not my favorite movie of the year. Christoph Waltz knocks it out of the park again, but the performances from Foxx, Jackson, and DiCaprio are also outstanding.
The crowd was into it, which always helps (there was also a small portion of cast/crew members there, which is always fun). Certainly worth seeing
I saw Django at the Premiere about 5 days before Christmas.
It was awesome.
Violence, and blood.
No nudity. ( boo )
The local fish wrap gave it 4.5 Stars out of 5.

I saw Superman vs the Elite. Probably one of my favorite Superman Animated movies.
Oooh, good. Wal-Mart had all the DC flicks on for bucks before Christmas so I picked up the ones I didn't have. I'm now looking forward to this.
Personally, I watched Paranorman this morning. I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about it. I was entertained, and my son definitely enjoyed it. It's got a Tim Burton feel to the animation, but I found it much more enjoyable. There's some great lines it in that parents will probably catch more than the kids as well. Definitely will purchase it down the road.

Watched 'Tommy Boy' on Netflix tonight. The wife, kids and I have been watching a gamut of old comedies lately (kids seem to have this thing for Adam Sandler right now), including:
Billy Madison
Ferris Buellers Day Off
The Longest Yard
I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry
Anger Management
I'm going to see if I can find 'Black Sheep' to watch next. I forgot how much I miss Chris Farley
