That'd be good. I'm seriously tired of "perfect" Hulk threads. I need to stop clicking those.
What I want is for people to let go of the foolish notion that there is some "definitive" dial that will please everyone when we're talking about characters that have existed for decades. For characters such as Hulk, Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, etc. there are have been so many interpretations of the character in comics over the years that one clix dial cannot accurately convey their history to everyone's satisfaction. People have different ideas of what the definitive version of the character is from the comics, so creating a unified "definitive" version of the character in clix is a pretty tall order. And I don't think that the designers should try to do that, because then the dials end up looking like overloaded messes.
What I think the designers should do is try to capture a particular moment in a character's history in a dial. Instead of saying, "This is the definitive Spider-Man," they should say, "This is Spider-Man from Amazing Fantasy 15," "This is Spider-Man from the Todd McFarlane era," etc.
In other words, I think dials work better as snapshots than photo albums.

I don't think I could agree with you more.
Personally I like my ih001 Hulk, especially when someone with MM is around to get him to that 19 defense faster.

Agreed, but reason and logic have no place on the internet.
So the haters will always have something to complain about.
I used to want to believe that a definitive dial could exist, but I no longer believe that such a thing could be made. There have been figures made in the past that try to capture different eras and it just seems to fail. Sure, a figure might still be decent, but then it never feels like the comicbook character. Two quick examples would be Cable or Nightcrawler.
I'm not going to fault fans for always wanting better, it's what makes them such hardcore fans and the game needs those type regardless of how...vocal...they may be. With all that said, enough about Hulk this or Spider-man that. We've heard the same tired argument over and over again. Lets start talking about why Wizkids should make a mass-transporting Pixie from the X-Men.

I'm all for it. There are actually a few of those that would be nice: Pixie, Magik & Blink for instance.
Awhile back before the New 52 rearranged everything, I was working up dials for The Authority where there was a mass transport click on their dials which represented the transporter "door" that was used so often. Phasing/Teleport + the Carry ability + SP text that let them carry more than 1 friendly fig at time = lots of fun.
I didn't go to Harvard or Yale but I can kick a man in the crotch as well as any other.
Ordered my case of GG today. Let the waiting begin...
Awesome! I pre-ordered 2 cases. However, I just realized yesterday that the movie-Avengers set will have around 40 figures. That's nearly an entire set in and of itself. That means in April we're effectively getting 2 full releases. I think I may need to trade off some KC figures and WL's to get all of it. I just don't play the older DC figures all that often to warrant keeping them.

There definitely is a lot of product coming out in the next 6 months. I'm excited for all of it but I've definitely had to start regulating my recreational spending to make sure that I can get what I want.
I have a hard time giving up some of my collection even though I don't play them nearly as much as I used to. I've broken myself of the completionist mentality that I used to have (face it, there are some pieces that are just not obtainable without selling your own organs on the black market) but some of those older pieces are hard to part with just because of the time and effort that went into getting them.

Awesome! My two GG cases have been on order for a while now.
However I didn't order the Gravity Feed or the Avengers Movie figs and I see Chaos War is up for pre-order. I'm still fence sitting on all these. Now that I'm realizing after ten years of collecting every piece, judging at local venues, gifting items to clix charity, playing online and supporting the hobby with friends and family, I'm not the key demographic for this game; I'm feeling more and more out with every release.
Oddly my gaming purchase money isn't diminishing. The money once earmarked for Heroclix is going back to Games Workshop, Renegade, Pulp Miniatures. Just picked some great dinosaurs from Acheson Creations. Also loving the minis for Wings of Glory.
I'm not giving up on clix. Love the game mechanic, love the concept. Love superhero battles. Comic books are my preferred entertainment media. I'm just don't need any more Hulks. I just don't need any more Iron Men. Though I've never read a comic book with Pixie in it, I'd be thrilled to have her.
Actually scratch that. I still need this Iron Man...

I tried to get some GG gravity feed stuff from the Shop last night and the told me you said not to sell any to me! So I went and split one with Slade at Gregg's.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

I said no such thing.
They're probably getting confused. Its tough telling them yeah hold the lil LOTR boosters for a sealed event and hold the lil Trek boosters for a sealed event but don't hold the lil GG boosters as they won't be used for a sealed.
Though I will warn you now, our venue did not order the Marquee figures. So go to Greg's for that one. The prevailing attitude was that they are paying out of pocket for FCBD Thors and they're paying out of pocket for two prize kits and they're paying out of pocket for monthly IG kits. It was more than enough for them.

I figured it was a mix-up. I just said, "If you don't want my money, that's fine!" and went to Between Books where I was greated by a spiffed up Eric, all dressed up in his tiny shirt and tie. We split a display. I got all but Doom (and went to my old venue where I got him). Maybe I'll offer the Shop the same deal I offered my old venue on the FCBD stuff. I used to buy them for them, and then keep half (half's usually enough for the players and more than enough for the collectors who are afraid of us).

GG clix is going to have to wait, (as badly as I want them right now) but I may be able to order a case before the end of May. All depends on bills and other such responsible nonsense.

The shops knows I have a standing offer to pay for prize support if it ever becomes too much of a financial burden for them. I mentioned it again when I explained to them the glut of costs coming down the pike in 2012.
