I finally made a Fear Itself event tonight. For $25, you got to grab a FI booster and a Chaos War booster, which was fine for me 'cause I don't have much CW anyways. I almost fell out of my chair when I opened my FI - pulled SR Dracula. Then I opened the CW booster and almost fell out of my chair again - pulled chase SR Dr. Doom and Kang!!! Since we were doing a 300 pt. tourney I went with Doom/Kang (Dang?) as a one-man army. I won the first round, lost the second and did not get to place for a LE Hela. Thass okay, though. I got a Mokk's Hammer, a Kuurth's Hammer, and the Book of the Skulls. I already own Skadi and her hammer, so it's all good. Needless to say it was a most triumphant evening! Huzzah!!

Awesome man, congrats!

I got Angrir but didn't play him then forgot Colossus' power 3 seconds after I read it and set up my people perfect for him to destroy them...hooray?
Also, what's the appropriate greeting for a blind date? I've never been on one, and a friend of mine wants to set me up with someone he knows. Its been a while since I've been on a "real date" due to weight and timing issues and since they are mostly cleared up I feel comfortable scratching that itch and the set up date seems like the best way to get back into the grind (practice). But the introduction or meeting just seems like an awkward interaction. I mean the handshake is just silly, the wave will seem pretentious no? Half-hug? Peck on the cheek, full hug? Too presumptuous? Maybe we can watch my copy of Knocked Up. Kinda at a loss, its not even a thing yet, it just got me thinking about what is proper dating etiquette in that situation.
Grats CharlesX! I love me some Kadoom, I play the hell out of those guys, and the character card powers are so much fun to read.
I pulled Collosus and Nekkrod this week. Traded the Nekkrod for Mokk. Month 1, I pulled a Hawkeye (which I traded for The Serpent) and a Superboy Prime out of my Titans booster!

I'm sorry, but that right there is right next to "rouge" on my pet peeves. And with Rogue I get that the pronounciation is confusing people with how to spell it, but Collosus? you're basically pronouncing Colossus as collages with that misspell.

Thanks, Mal. I am still riding the high from the game last night. I hardly ever get to play. Now what is this thing about the BR's? Can we sign up for games of 4 again?

Totally, SL. The card's power names cracked me up as well. Also, this is the first time that I have really appreciated the heck out of a duo figure. What I like about Dang/Kadoom is that it is a balanced piece. As a one-man army it is very susceptible to being outwitted and then getting swarmed. That is sort of what happened in my game 2. I missed one-shotting CW Tony Stark and then he proceeded to outwit my defense, which set me up to being hit by FI C Red She-Hulk and her buddies. I was soon knocked into my "Choose Kang or Doom" click. I chose Kang, but once based an in Tony's line of sight even PC was unable to save my bacon. The best part is that I had a lot of fun and went home happy.

Pacific Rim is pretty freaking awesome. Go see it if you can.
It is, admittedly, a bit predictable/formulaic at times, but Del Toro tells a great story, and the SFX is AMAZING.
Very cool - I will watch. A buddy of mine is selling me a set of the 10 Pacific Rim clix. The sculpts look pretty frakking amazing.

It's some time since I've been there, but how about, "Well hello - so on which side do you like your muffin buttered, sweet thang?"

Serious answer - depends on the relationship between your blind date and the person who introduced you. I tend to be somewhat formal so unless this is a close friend of your friend's, I would go with a hand clasp (not a hand shake.) If, on the other hand, this is someone near and dear to your friend then I don't see a half-hug being a problem. In either scenario, would stay away from the peck on the cheek or the full hug. It might be too soon and you may come across as a perv. Though some women like pervs, so in the end who knows really. That's all I gotta say about that.

Awesome, man. I only pulled Hawkeye and Dr. Strange from my two boosters. Both of which, plus all my other FI clix are now up for trade. Really wanted a Monkey King and was crossing my fingers for a Colossus. Oh well.

I pulled a Monkey King in my FI booster. If I get a dupe, you can have it. I am planning on attending the rest of the monthly events 'cause I just gotta have all of the hammers now.

Present a small flower (not a rose) in place of the initial greeting.
