yeah... it bums me out that they are killing the last thing I liked about the game
Well, needing only the dial hasn't been a thing for 8 years now. The game has had cards for longer than it was without them. The only real change here is that now the dial information is also present on the card (aside from what click the character is currently one, but that could probably be manged with a small token.)

yeah that part is true - I just mean, I was one of those people that love the mystery of sealed - the "what do I do with my CCE" tension was the best
now its a boring puzzle (that will invariably be ruined by dice)

Ah, I getcha. I thought you were talking about the utility of the dial, not the mystery of not knowing how it will change. I don't have much of an issue with it, but I do anticipate a lot more people asking to see the cards of opposing characters before they attack.

yeah - this game already suffers a bit from AP in my opinion - I don't see this helping

Honestly, what I foresee is that the eventual outcome is just going to be that when you and I set up our forces I'll just put my cards on your side of the table and vice versa, especially in competitive play. In non-sealed play, that'll probably prove to be the best method to minimize a time lag since your opponent will probably need to be referencing your cards more than you will.
