Usually when an interesting theme (such as "sun") shows up, I think we like to add our own favorites to the conversation. In this case, it seems obvious that there are numerous related songs. It's hard to think of any performers that have been around awhile that DON'T have a "sun' song, and/or a closely related 'star" song (since the sun is our closest star). Might be enough to have a solar or celestial Rock War. No, that's not a firm suggestion.

Liam Gallagher and John Squire released an interesting song a few days ago. Seems a mixture of Oasis and The Stone Roses, with a dash of The Beatles. I really like the second half guitar. Guess this is the next stage of the Gallagher brothers' saga.

I'm a little embarrassed that in the Sun Music Festival going on here, all of my offerings were the obvious ones. I was only familiar with a handful of these, have enjoyed listening to them immensely, and a lot of these will be new to my playlists. I may have recognized maybe half the performers, but only knew a very few of those songs.

I found a new Canadian super group, which is like a power-pop version of the Traveling Wilbury's They are called the Anyway Gang and Big Night is their best video.



Anyway Gang is a Canadian rock band consisting of Sam Roberts from The Same Roberts Band, Chris Murphy from Sloan, Menno Versteeg from Holerado, and Dave Monks from Tokyo Police Club.

I checked out “Eyes Of Green” and really like this group. Very reminiscent of Tom Petty with nice harmonies. I started to put this in a rep, but just got an iPad and somehow fat-fingered it after two or three words. When you see the rep, this is why it may be weird. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.

This song was sung at my college graduation by the school's choir. It was pouring rain.
