We're playtesting down here. And I dare say that my team is even MORE brutal than every before.
It's like I found a new chemical, poured it on my team, and then slapped a label saying "Now with 30% more Brutalness!"

Uh oh, ladies and gentlemen. Looks like BRUTAL trouble brewing and heading to WWLA! May you both do well, meet for the final duke-em-out and THEN let your actions speak for themselves!
The team was a FF Vet Thing and Rookie Human Torch and he played Earthquake to my IIF. I already ate up my Ordinary Day to Unsung Heros MACH-tank team (which, to my surprise, was an Earthquake and not a Poor Teamwork).
The FF team was played all right, he lost Thing pretty early and I lost Lockjaw early on as well, and after that happened, he ran in order for Earthquake to hit; which it did.
The rest of the match consisted of me trying to use Jokers Willpower to get into a position to where I he would have an action token and I'd be in position to hit directly afterwards. After a bit, I figured that, according to probability, he wouldn't be able to land an 8 if I tried to bait him into attacking, and I thought I had at least enough health to withstand a 2 damage hit in case it went bad. I HAD the option to just turtle, but I'm highly against that motion, as turtling is only good if you're vying for position in the early game, IMO. Anything beyond that is just blatant cowardice. At this point, we were both going to turtle if the other vyed for that option.
I tried to make the move and it backfired. It happens, he played a good game.
Don kept saying that he should have been more aggressive with Torch, as he had poison, but both Jeff and I KNEW our figs weren;t going to be able to withstand another attack or 2.
For the record, this was my first time playing Lamp and using Lockjaw seriously, I have to watch that double base a LOT more, Lockjaw kept getting attacked on his rear end because a wall wouldn't cover him all the way.
I figured I should have Fielded KC Flash + Lian Harper
I'm still irky about my match against New Jeff. I shouldn't have won that game as far as BFCs and the teams at hand are concerned, and it went down to a breakaway roll early game. I hate 'heads I win' games.
On that note, no one had a good breakaway roll against Joker in any of the games that day.
so if im reading this right you guys let a "horror clix dweeb" win the tourney...
what was his team?
Remember...as I said I BEAT HIM!And that counts for something! You play a Dynamic Duo Against LAMP, Fail 3 break away attempts against AP/Poison Joker(V) and we'll talk! I was The only one that beat him! He Borrowed his team from The Dirty Old Man!
Thing (V) Unstoppable
Human Torch (R) Armor Piercing!
He rolled a Crit hit on everyone He played! One of them One-Shoted a Superman Robot!!!:knockedou Welcome back Tyler!
So to those I played today and told I was running Double DT, I sincerely apologize.
Also proves that you should always check your opponents team build before each game.
I now submit myself for the 40 lashings.
-I led her to a hole, a deep black well, I said make a wish make sure too
not tell
Cheatin' Bastich!
No, you earned your victory against me late game, so I'm cool with it!
I'll bring a whip for next time I see ya! Or I could just borrow one from Kool's as they have some there!
You guys let a HorrorClix player, with a borrowed team from Mark, of all people, win that tournament??? Wow! :speechles
On another note, here are the highlights of my eBay auctions that closed today. They make me happy.
KC GL: $102.50
-Did I mention that I got mine for $10 & a Shadow King Unique.
KC Flash: $56
KC Hawkman: $54
KC Red Robin: $23
Gladiator Unique: $27
N'astirth Unique: $20
Major Force LE: $13
Supreboy LE: $13
Giant Man Unique: $13
Batman LE: $11
Deadpool LE: $10.58 Man-Thing LE: $3.77
I think I am most proud of that Man-Thing closing. Way to go Ted!
In fact if he won 1st how come I didn't play him? I never understand Dons ranking setup.
-And just for the record, I built his team for him...... Sorry guys, didn't know a noob could beat you all with a #### team I built. Guess I'm getting better!
And as for the game against Beck.... I have no one to blame but myself. Bad tactics will allways lose a game. I allowed Hawkeye to get tied up with Joker, when I should have sent ghostrider in first to soften him up. Man the origin map is a stealth players wet dream!
-Finally someone let me out a my cage, time for me is nothin cause I'm countin no age....

Don told me that the kid (I think his name is Jeff) got the LE was because he beat me: the only person with a 3-0 record.
Might as well been fellowship just to save us all confusion.
And this is why you do rank placement by victory points....or at LEAST announce fellowship. Either way.
At least now, I KNOW that Vendetta is NOT a feat to use at Kools.
And for the record: Stealth or no stealth, the Origins map is awesome!

OH! MY! GOD! Kinda makes me feel I should get out of the game and use this "crack" to pad my retirement nestegg. Nah, not really. If I did that, I'd probably only be able to build a team with FF Vet Thing and Rookie Human Torch. Oh, wait a minute. Isn't that the team that went 3-0 at Kool's this weekend? Okay, maybe I will sell my stuff.
Congrats on that GL sale. You gotta love people with more money than sense!
if I can get 100 for Flash you can kiss him good buy, I never use him, not my style (which tends to be plant a feat or fig on the other guys team and get him DQed ) .
and as for old jeff yes I forgot you said you beat him but I did say you GUYS meaning all of you, so I guess it was just everyone else
all though Dons does seem to have an odd way of determineing winner. maybe its Swiss (or which ever is the type where the winner moves on and plays the winner of another match, of coure that usually requires numbers divisible by 4 to work on a regular basis unless you complicate things)
EDIT: What the heck is a Test Tube Retcon Space Lesbian???
I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Because no way in heck does R Torch and V Thing win a tourney. Seriously.
Never. Ever.
You may say that, but have you not read the saga posted here? Headline: Some hapless newbie horrorclix dweeb stuns Team Vegas at Kool's Saturday Tournament? Granted, it was Don's infamous 200-pt Dynamic Duo format, but he scored an LE - how can you argue with that?
EDIT: What the heck is a Test Tube Retcon Space Lesbian???
The "new" Quasar when Annihilation: Conquest comes out later this year. They made Phylla-Vell (test tube daughter of Captain Mar-Vell the new Quasar after Wendell was "killed".
