So for further clarification, our new attributes do not result in the addition roll of a D6, but they can be combined with our original attributes, which do. We can combine the attributes of two players, and receive bonuses, but will not get XP for success.

I'm going to imitate the voice of The Man Your Man Could Smell Like in order to give the Turtles a Rousing Speech (TM) on why we shouldn't need to worry about fixing the Turtlewagon before we go rescue April. I'll mostly direct it specifically at Don, since he's the one that seems to be in a funk over it, but I won't exclude the others from being subject to any encouragement it may provide.
It'll go a little something like this:
"Hello, Turtles. Look at your van, now back to me. Now back at your van, now back to me. Your van is dented, I am not. But doesn't matter. Why? Because your friend April is in trouble! Look at yourselves. What are you? You're Ninja Turtles! What do you do? You kick butt and eat pizza. And we currently have a lack of pizza.
