"MWAHAHAHAHA!!!" the Grandmaster laughed. All of the remaining players pooled their strength to conquer one, the one they felt needed to go. He watched in anticipation as they surrounded the last member of the town.
"Go ahead... Do your worst. Basketball lives on inside all of us, and you will never be able to stop that." Charles said as the three surrounded him. "My only regret is that I didn't get to kill Skeremy... That lucky punk got to remain intact in this world. Who cares if he bit it so early on?"
Red shrugged. "You know, I probably would have been upset by his passing, but honestly? He thought he was better than all of us, and it doesn't get any better than red. I also didn't care for Pocks, either... Reminded me too of Blue, and I don't like feeling sad."
"You're damn right." Deadpool chimed in. "Red's a great color!" He pulled out a gun and pointed it at Charles. "So Genie... grant us a wish. Help us take care of this last person once and for all. I'll buy you a popsicle."
The genie rolled up his sleeves and programmed another code, freezing Charles in place. "There. You'll get no resistance from him at this point. And I like cherry."
Red smiled. "Again, with the red."
Charles stood there, frozen by the genie's spell. Red transformed his hands into giant lobster claws. "Obviously, it's a cooked lobster... Just go with it." He reached forth and pinched off various limbs of Charles. Then Deadpool began firing bullet after bullet into him. "Yup, even the blood runs red in this one. Hey, we're kind of like our team of red pool. Except the genie. He's dark gray."
Red looked at the game genie. "He's right. You're not red at all. You haven't been this whole time. We might as well kill you, too."
The genie smiled and held up his booklet. "The book's red... and if I take my true form..." He transformed into a being of pure red electrical energy. "I'm red as well. Killing me would be killing one of your own."
Red nodded and smiled. "It is indeed better Red than dead. Now... go make me a sandwich."
The genie shook his head. "I'm a genie... and you're merely a color. I think you can go make me a sandwich. And Deadpool can get me that popsicle."
Deadpool turned his head. "Huh? I was so lying about that. Get your own popsicle. I prefer pudding pops."
Each of them eyed each other, staring, squinting... Deadpool stuck his tongue out at Red. Red rolled his eyes. "Dude, be cool. You're really coming across as a loser now."
Deadpool raised his gun to Red. The game genie merely watched. "A loser now, am I? Well, I can turn the tide on this game right here, right now. One bullet to your head and we will see just how red you are."
"Now you get all serious and up in my face? I'm soooooooo scared." Red replied.
Suddenly, Kenny appeared in between them. "Guys... You do realize that you've won, right? You don't have to stay in this world any longer."
They were confused. "Why did the game keep going?" The genie asked.
Red stopped and did some math in his head. "Yes, everyone who opposed my awesomeness is now gone. These other losers just rode my coattails to victory."
*click*
Deadpool aimed his gun at Red once again. "I ride no one's coat... except maybe Jubilee's..."
"I think that qualifies as a jacket. "The genie interjected.
"Will all of you shut up for a moment?" Kenny asked. "There's a reason why the game is still going on. And he's right over there." Kenny pointed in the distance to a shadowy presence. He came walking out into the light, clapping.
"I must congratulate the players for giving such a riveting performance. It was spectacular watching them day in and night out, weaving my little intricate plots into the mix. My only regret was letting so many of the wrong people in. I had to spend a lot of time trying to collect them all." The Grandmaster said. "However, I had the added bonus of being mostly forgotten this whole game, a side effect of Kenny's Thunderbolts game going offline for over 3 years. No one knew of the power I wielded, and no one knew how to stop me. And now, I've one the game."
Kenny smiled and shook his head. "No, Grandmaster. You didn't win. You can't win. You never could." Kenny walked up to him, the Grandmaster still smiling defiantly. "See, you were a meta part of Thunderbolts, something I included to allow to have certain effects on the game. It was meant to cause confusion as well as tie in one of the plot elements. It was a fun mechanic of the game, while it lasted. An unfortunate randomization of your action for the night had you, or me rather, targeting a player who was targeted by the reverse tracker. The players didn't take kindly to a moderator playing in the game. And they lynched... well, us. You died in that game, like you were supposed to."
The Grandmaster was no longer smiling. "You create these games. I understand that. But you do not include roles that have no real chance of winning."
"Look around you." Kenny said. "All of those players you removed? They were never here. They never had a chance to win because they weren't playing. You had one advantage over them. You WERE playing, but it was more in the role of the story element. I needed you for events, write-ups, and at least one representation from Thunderbolts mafia. You served no other purpose."
The Grandmaster started to summon energy. "You're wrong. I have the power to remove all of these players from the game! I'll prove it by removing them now. Then I'll remove you." He threw a ball of energy towards Red, but Kenny waved his hand and summoned the energy to himself.
"Think back two nights ago. You were trying to kill the Game Dr3am3r. It didn't happen. All of those bombs you offered to the players... none of them detonated. At least, not on a player anyway. I made sure to keep you in check. Your influence was subtle, both day and night. I told you that you didn't have a kill power, and that was true. I, on the other hand..."
Kenny held out his hand and absorbed the essence of the Grandmaster into himself. He smiled softly and turned the three remaining players. "Thank you for being a part of this. I congratulate you all on your achievement this day. It was easy, and it wasn't clear cut. But you all stuck it out an persevered. You truly earned this victory."
"After all of my hard work, you better believe I earned this! Look at all of those people I kept having to kill! Yeah, I carried Red's butt all the way to this victory." Deadpool bragged.
Red looked rather cross. "You didn't kill anyone. All you did was show up and act like a moron. It's all your really good at."
"And yet everyone loves me so more than you." Deadpool smiled.
Kenny and the genie both shook their heads.
"Come on. It's time for each of you to go back home." Kenny said, first touching the Game Dr3am3r. After he was safely back in his own game, he touched Deadpool. Deadpool vanished in a flash.
"Red..." Kenny said. "You were put together so quickly, so simply. I never knew how effective of a role you would be. You're one of my proud achievements in creating roles."
"Well, yeah... It's because I'm awesome." Red confirmed. "Better Red than Dead is more than just a catch phrase or a motto. It's a way of life. And let me tell, anyone who thinks otherwise can just shove it. I'll make that I'm the one doing the shoving all the time. I can-*"
Kenny sent him back to his home world, slightly annoyed by the last minute rant. "This world..." He looked around, sighing. "Will we return to it?"
He checked his calendar. "December is a long ways away. I wonder if I will still be around come that time... or if the mafia games will continue on to that time..." He smiled to himself. "Only time will tell."
He generated a small viewing pool, and all of the players, from Day 1 to Day 9 appeared. "Thank you all again for being a part of this game, and all of my other games. I appreciate your efforts in giving me something that I've enjoyed and loved so much my time here. I look forward to many more games with as many of you as possible."
He closed the pool and then began to put the world away, hopefully bringing it back out at year's end to start anew with all fresh games. "Until next time... Trust no one!" He said, winking at the audience.

Epilogue...
*FLASH!*
He reappeared on top of a giant purple and pink man, slightly disoriented and confused. "Okay... Looks like I'm coming round the mountain again..." The mighty Galactus grabbed Deadpool and sent him flying off into space.
"SERIOUSLY?!?!?" He could be heard screaming as he flew off to his doom.
zyxba has been removed from the game! He was Charles Zyxbly (HCRealms/Video Game Mash Up: The SNES - Town), a man who was thrust into this world a mangled mess but managed to restore himself before he met his ultimate demise.
K-Ness has been removed from the game! He was The Grandmaster (Thunderbolts: Redemption - ???), a powerful entity that could manipulate random aspects of the game, day and night.
Silver Lantern has won (and subsequently been removed from) the game! He was Deadpool (Your Favorite Clix - Mafia), the merc with a mouth who never learned to shut up, but that blabbering is probably what gave him the victory this time around.
Wade Wilson has won the game! He was Game Dr3am3r (HCRealms/Video Game Mash Up: The SNES - Neutral), a device meant to alter the style of play for the thrill of it all, and he managed to cheat his way right into a win this time.
DarqFeonix has won the game! He was Red (Color - Mafia), a man of anger, rage, and sports cars, he liked to live life in the fast lane of popularity and ego. He rightly earned his title by managing a back to back victory over two entirely different towns!
Congratulations to the winners, and a HUGE thank you to everyone for playing in my game! I had a ton of fun with the write-ups and watching all of you interact was great! Thank you again for making it feel like a success.
Thank you for letting me play Deadpool again K-ness, and thanks for the game!
It was very difficult being Mafia but not being on a proboard, and having to remind myself constantly not to be active since I was supposed to be neutral, but it worked out in the end thanks to town apathy.
Darq, how did you guys figure out that IR was the SK?
For a little while I thought I was the SK, since my targets kept getting killed & janitored (First Quebbster, and then Sigdr...), guess I just picked the same targets as IR.

Process of elimination. I think someone kept pointing a finger at Raven as scum, and we knew he wasn't with us... and then by the time we started going after him, we knew Storm was either Raven or Vorlon. So we lynched Vorlon, and luckily took out a Townie who actually had a rock-solid alibi, thereby narrowing it down to IR
"Why would the possibility of me being wrong ever stop me from doing something?"
That game was awesomely fun and ridiculously frustrating. Always great!
Name Copped on Night 2, and still pull out a win. Love it.
Hehehe, you HAVE to share the proboards with me. Sorry for frustrating you, but I had to make you work for the fact that I knew I would inevitably side with you...
