Sentry void isn't a great contender for 300 modern age at high meta. I've mentioned this before in other threads, can't remember if this one, but the teams my buddy and i have been using to prepare for gencon went 11-0 against him. He has a shot at winning if he wins map roll, but if he loses map roll its gg 100% of the time. Playing a team that's going to lose 50% of the time based on map roll is not going to be a viable team for worlds.

I can't see ANY combination of teams going 11-0 against Sentry and Void...
We had a big tournament out here in CA and out of 40 players, 5 used Sentry and Void, 2 of them made it to top 8. It IS a viable meta-300 piece, but requires finesse, positioning, and a number of lucky rolls... Consequently, only ONE Odin + gauntlet made top 8 and, incidentally, lost to a Sentry/Void.
First turn TK cosmo, and Juggs takes one unavoidable.
Second turn Cosmo TK's Juggs out. Juggs now has a 10 movement left to come smash S/V. Juggs also ignores the Psy blast. Shutting down part of the advantage of S/V.

yea my only reasonable guess is his buddy and him either don't own a void sr or just simply setup ventry to lose. but there's no room for reason on the internet. ventry isn't an auto win or unbeatable, but it's also not losing 11 times in a row without user failure or conditions setup for it to lose.
Without Support though Sentry Void is going to struggle vs. certain Mystic and/or Thunderbolts teams. Like someone earlier said against top Meta its rolling the dice, at best.

Totally agree. He's a great piece that can definitely play well but not auto win. Stealth and perplex hurt him. I like winning map to pick Gardner map and outwit his flight. That really cuts his mobility down. I'd be surprised if at least one player doesnt plays him in the top 16 at worlds. He's way more viable than Galactus IMO if for no other reason than Bizarro map kills Big G and unlikely you will win every map roll with him.
Like I told my last wife, I says, "Honey, I never drive faster than I can see. Besides that, it's all in the reflexes."

Well, we certainly didnt sent up ventry to lose, and he was beaten solidly every game. When I say we didn't set him up to lose, I mean we used the same teams we have been practicing with for the past 4 months preparing for gencon (which is also why we dont want to post them). We also took turns playing him against each other; I played S/V 6 of the games, my buddy played him 5 times. This means that if one of us was lacking in skill that person would have also probably lost against S/V when not playing him, but that wasn't the case.
Either way, it doesn't really matter how many times we beat him, you just have to consider him as a team you are likely going to have to face in 300 modern, and you have to prepare your team to be able to beat him. You also have to do this while not shooting yourself in the foot and making your team weak against other teams. It's of course hard to find the one-size-fits-all team but...that's what ya gotta do for worlds I guess.
Considering we aren't posting our teams, I understand the skepticism. I will say, though, that I certainly don't need the ego boost of lying about beating a heroclick online, and I assure you all that our 11-0 record is legitimate. I'll be posting teams as soon as gencon is over and explaining exactly what happened. Oh, and whoever guessed Uatu and Leech is in the right ballpark but not quite on as far as my team goes.
