I have high pain tolerance. Is this a money-saving matter or what?
Time saving. My wife was in the ER years ago, and I had a dentist appointment. I would have cancelled, but she made me go. I explained the situation to the dentist and asked if he could do it without anesthetic. He was leery, but said he'd try. Three cavities drilled, filled, and done, not a peep from me. Ever since then, no anesthetic.
And yes Truffle, I hate needles. So that was gravy.
When I had my wisdom tooth out, the anesthetic worked fine. Couple aspirin before I went in, needle, break tooth, pull tooth pieces out, pack gauze. No pain.

I have a high tolerance for pain and a very high gross out factor (unless its bug related) but it was either the way you wrote it or my mood this morning, but I just about lost my breakfast reading that. congrats, that's a very rare thing to accomplish.
Larfleeze is my minion and Darkseid does my bidding!
i had a good tolerance of pain, when i had cavities filled i had no novacane, unless there was no choice.
on a side note with all the time off from work with my aching feet and bed bug issues(both resolved thank goodness) you think i would have all my notes done for spiderman mafai.
But, reallity is nope only half way, not to mention i lost my handwritten notes. Thank goodness i have two proboards one for mafia use and one for my own.
To smurf out of hell or not to smurf out of hell that is the answer to any hellsmurf
I woke up in the middle of getting my wisdom teeth taken out. I knew what was going on, could feel the pressure in my mouth (no pain though), and even remember a little of seeing the dentist and nurses. I could not have cared less though, because all I could think about was how terribly my nose itched (very common reaction to anesthetics).
The next day I was eating solid food (or at least chicken fries from Burger King).

I too woke up halfway through.
The next day, I was working a concession stand at Ozzfest while on a heavy dose of Percoset. Twas fun.
I had to get root canal a few months ago. No lie, he tried to numb the area 5 times. That's 5 needles. And still it bearly took.
Not a good day.
Though not to scare you K, most times the anesthesia works fine. One and done. I think IR is saying he hates the needles.
I remember. You were miserable.
I was still mildly envious you got any anesthesia (dentists get "scared" to give me anesthesia for various health-related reasons so I've had two root canals - both from incidents, not from failure to take care of my teeth - with no anesthesia. It's not as bad as you'd think but you do find yourself getting rather irritable when the dentist decides "he needs a break" and you've been sitting there for over an hour in that situation.)
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

I also woke up halfway through. I don't remember exactly what I was thinking, but I remember I was trying to tell the doctor and nurse something in a very urgent fashion. Of course, trying to speak with all that mouth stuff going on caused problems, so the doctor nodded and they turned up the dosage and I passed back out.
