typo, freudian slip, or deliberate play on words? Whichever it is, that's what I'm calling him now.
It was deliberate, been calling him that for a while now. I have to think that he was created with his name intentionally spelling sodomy, it seems too good to be random.
In your opinion, what is the best (or give me a top 3) end of the world book(s)?
Other than the first they are in no particular order. I left off all of the Zombie books I have read other than WWZ, but Brian Keene has some pretty good EotW stuff but it is more Horror than anything else.
1) Cat’s Cradle, Kurt Vonnegut
B) The Stand, Stephen King
b) Earth Abides, George R. Stewart
World War Z, Max Brooks
On the Beach, Nevil Shute
Oryx and Crake, Margaret Atwood
Alas, Babylon, Pat Frank is overrated.
I Am Legend, Richard Matheson - It has not aged well.
The Road - Cormac McCarthy - Good, but I think it is thought of as better than it is because of the author, not the work.
Cell, Stephen King - Not his best work, but not bad
The Dark Tower series, Stephen King - Without spoiling anything, it almost belongs on this list. Overall it is a great read but a couple of the books are sub-par.
I am going to read A Canticle For Leibowitz, Walter M. Miller Jr; Lucifer's Hammer, Jerry Pournelle and The Last Man, Mary Shelley are all on my to read list, which is much too long...
Not an end of the world book, but I highly recomend Clovenhoof by Heide Goody
Loved Cat's Cradle! Probably read that book a dozen times. So easy to do when chapters are a page and a half ("just two more chapters... that was only 3 pages... I guess I can do two more!").
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

It is one of my all time favorites. My step-father gave me a leather bound autographed copy when I graduated from college.

Truly a classic.
In other news, I passed a bicyclist on the road today, had a PTSD attack, and had to pull over. Thankfully avoided a ditch. It really sucks being back in the normal world sometimes, especially when "normal" is garrison Army environment.
