In response to Dbauers' point about 'beyond the build total scores', we've been able to score beyond the build total for a while now. There's the BFC that let's score extra, Arch-Enemies, and dozens of figure spawners. We've never permitted scoring past the build total, and if we have, that's been a mistake.

How do you feel about Active vs Passive participation or judging in the leagues? Is it ok for a player, not involved in the game, to point out something? Do you feel differently if it's a rules thing vs a game thing? Should the Commissioner, or rules guy, but not other players?
Wizkids wants their Judges to passively judge. If they see someone forget to roll Shape Change or Super Senses, they will not say anything. Catch someone short clixing or manipulating the dice, they will do something.
When I am judging, I will point it out after the turn or after the game. But not during an action.

Personally, I point out things as soon as I spot them (as long as they're actual rules violations, of course, not just a strategic or tactical misplay), and I try to keep at least a cursory eye on all games being played.

I also personally keep track of all stats going on, and when I see missed stats I point them out in the game. I can stop that if it offends anyone.

I ran my Age of Ultron event yesterday. Tried it out with:
AvX Captain America 200
Round Table with Iron Man and Triathlon 15
215pts
Vs
Batman 200
Utility Belt 14
214pts
Both advance, Batman lands on +2 to his stats.
Cap clears, choosing combat reflexes. Batman charges, connecting for 5. Cap fails impervious. Batman ends up on +1, and perplex def +1.
Cap has Empower and calls Triathlon for help. Triathlon flurries, 11 vs 20. Rolls 11, hitting for 4, then a 9, for 4 more!
Batman clears and Cap swings and misses.
Before Cap can call Iron Man, Batman slaps on the handcuffs.
Cap fails 3 straight times to free himself from the cuffs, as the Dark Knight finished him off.

We had a vote a couple of years ago on this subject, active judging was ruled overwhelmingly as the favorite for the Leagues. I personally prefer passive judging, but it's what the league wanted.

I don't think this is what TopDog is talking about. This is definitely something that is universally appreciated.

Do we now have a break for a midseason draft or something?
At the end of this game, we'll do a midseason draft where you can pick up one figure.

Cap is right. I was talking about someone PC'ing a roll that can't be rerolled. Or forgetting to roll shape change, and neither player catches it. Or there's a particular ruling about a special power, and it's being played wrong, then someone points out (mid game) the WK ruling. Things like that.
Somebody updating figures and book keeping for the League is definitely appreciated.

Shape Change is different from Can't be rerolled PC's. Shape Change is a may roll, so as such even an active judge shouldn't point it out. Because it is specifically helping one person over the other.
However.. as we have the other person roll the shape change.. that does come into the issue of your opponent just could not roll shape change at all, and if you miss it, well obviously you decided not to roll the d6 because it's a may power. Extreme jerkery, there.
So I can see someone else calling it out when it's missed.

Forgetting to roll a "may" power is NOT the same as deciding not to use it. In order for a legal game state to proceed, a distinct choice must be made of whether to use a power or not. Legally, the game cannot progress beyond the declaration of an attack against a character with Shape Change until its controller has decided if he wants to use it or not.
