Congrats on your victories razatar and Phoenixhawk.
Quick question, I'm not up on my history, do we care about House Marik at all? Who should we pull for in the Storyline 1, RotS or Marik?
Two donkeys fighting over a turnip, Trothkin.
The Free Worlds Leaugue has been shattered for wuite come time, and are making motions to rebuild it. Should they gain momentum, it cannot be good for Clan Jade Falcon's OZ.
The Republic is slowly dying, but standing in the way of Terra.
Pick your poison, Trothkin.
I would also like to extend congratulations to my fellow Warriors. I have but two things to mention to Warrior Pheonixhawk:
You opponent does not "Delare hegira". He may request it, or it may be offered by you (the latter being the most likely). As the loser, he has little right to "declare" anything.
Additionally, when you allow another to leave or arrive safely without aggression, it is referred to as "safecon".
eg.: In tribute to the Honurable conduct of the Ghost Bear Warriors upon the battlefield, Clan Jade Falcon granted the retreating Warriors hegira to preserve their honour. Safecon was also allowed to permit the Bears transit through Clan Jade Falcon space, so long as they did not attack Falcon holdings and went to the predesignated departure zone.
Just an attempt to further educate - no insult intended.
No offense taken. It has been some time since I have used some of the more obscure terms and the meaning at least was clear. Thank you for enlightening me at to the proper use of the terms. The survivors of the RD army requested hegira and it was granted to them. Safecon was granted and we allowed their dropship to dock with a CJF jumpship that was preparing to leave. The RD survivors are prohibited from leaving their dropship but the jumpship captain is instructed to gather whatever intelligence he can from the RD enclave where the dropship is being undocked. The Falcon is still on the hunt and will strike at the Bear where he is weakest.
Just for the knowledge of my fellow Falcon warriors, the story arc I have devised will take the Falcons into conflict with HK forces, HS forces, and then eventually CNC forces. For those who do not know, I have a very large collection of CNC units and it will be quite interesting to pit my two most favorite factions against one another. If the Falcons can survive the final campaign, then great glory will be earned. If not, they will die in battle and still achieve honor for the Clan.
One planet has already been won, and soon more will come under the Falcon's talon.
Congrats on your victories razatar and Phoenixhawk.

We have not finished our battle quite yet. The tide can still turn in his favor if I do not use my head. The advantage that I have found very useful so far is that I have a really great repair unit (dropship) which is currently repairing a few of my more damaged unit (A Loki that got itself almost blown apart....). He has a full lance that has not been touched yet and 2 scout mechs that are also currently harrying my support units (Ill have to deal with that.)
The battle is going my way, but I think he has something up his sleeve, he has played to smartly not to. I have to give him credit. This has to be the best battle he has ever played.
Well i just started playing MW for about 6 weeks now. I'm also using a Jade Falcon Army but not the MDFA format (the one with the faction pride about DFA). Basically i decided to use Jade Falcon units with evade and flexibility.
Hope you guys can give tips on what to equip my mechs and how to use them properly. Thanks!
I am sure we can help you in your learning to be a warrior of this great Clan. Let us know what units you might be using and what you might be missing and I am quite sure we can assist you.
If you have any particular questions about how to use the units in our faction just post them. I am certain that you will get your answer very quickly. I would recommend that you get the Faction Pride Card that allows you to use your Mechs in a movement formation as well as the MDFA Faction Pride Card. It will keep your opponent on his/her toes. Remember, you can still use the DFA option as per the rules you will just suffer the penalties.

Trothkin, you have *so* come to the right place. I have a post a few pages back that had a slew of pinks throughout the thread for tactical suggestions and unit breakdowns. Can anyone here please copy/paste that post here for your newest Warrior?
I seek your advice on the coming battle with House Kurita. The storyline follows my CJF forces as they work to secure former RotS worlds for the glory of Clan Jade Falcon. They have managed to secure a world that the RD had been administering and now have located a world that is being invaded by House Kurita.
Presently, the world is under assault by HK forces and the (former) RotS defenders and planetary militia are slowly giving ground. It is into this situation that CJF jumpships arrive in-system and quickly deploy their dropships. The jumpships arrived at a pirate point closer to the planet than the orbiting HK jumpships and comm traffic does not indicate detection. To preserve the element of surprise and to prevent both forces from uniting against a common enemy, the CJF dropships ignored the batchall tradition in favor of a quick drop to secure a landing spot in the rear of the HK forces. Fresh CJF troops will be initially attacking second-line and rear-guard HK troops with the major battles to be fought later in the campaign.
The question I ask is: What strengths should I use for the campaign? I presently have an undersized Galaxy of CJF units (just over 100) with 8 full Mech stars, 4 vehicle stars and 4 infantry star, plus some extras. This brings me to 2 full Clusters with some remainder. I totalled up the HK/DF forces I own and I only have less than 50 HK proper, so will need to augment with DF. Adding in the DF forces, I have enough for a slightly undersized regiment with 1 battalion of Mechs, 1 of vehicles and a mixed third (almost full strength) battalion. Of course, I would like to use them all against each other to make it a true challenge for the Falcon invaders. Should I lower the amount of forces on each side or keep it at a regiment vs galaxy campaign? Time is not an issue as we will play many smaller battles, but I was trying to set the orders of battle for both sides so we can begin.
This will also test the resource and experience mechanics for the campaign. Beginning with this campaign, I am also devising a way to purchase additional units with resource points so that eliminated units are truly dead and gone but additional items can be purchased to replace eliminated units, from a roster of replacement units such that if a CJF Loki were to be destroyed, it might be possible to replace it, but with a lesser machine, like an Ocelot or Shadow Hawk IIc or something until another Loki becomes available later. Unit replacement would be after the campaign is finished and before the next one begins so that the same CJF forces can be used in multiple campaigns to build experience and gain proficiency.
I am looking forward to the trial of possession for the world. It should be fun if nothing else. i have high hopes for the battles and the campaign system as a whole.
Please share any thoughts you might have on this matter.
SaKhan Tirrex Roshak, is it disrespectful to hear that "Wah-Wah-wah, Waaaaah" comedy music play when I read your post?
You choice would certianly not have been mine, but I salute your dedication to the fun aspect of the game.
Neg, the army was built for fun so comical music and laughter is a requirement. I was hoping that VTOLs could make formations with other VTOLs so that I could have a Flying V formation and just add to the comedy, but such things are not allowed.
I figured it had been a while since I had some fun with the game and seeing as Cynthia Kelly was on the line I was not going to lose much. Besides I made my opps. laugh so it was a good night.

Seyla
I can remember playing a CJF Stinger and making Three Stooges noises while it ran all over the battlefield, so I can relate. Similar behaviors were exhibited when I last used Clan Sea Fox pieces, since they are all fast Light Mechs...
..of course, I was half-drunk at the time...but so was my opposition...I do so enjoy casula games
