Around here, COVID is on an upsurge, but schools are also seeing a nasty 48 hours stomach bug and strep throat.

Kids are germ farms

Ugh sorry to hear about that. We start on the 30th. I hope it is not that bad. My oldest will be starting pre-K and the wife and I are probably not ready for the germ factory to be built in our house.

Oh yeah. Welcome to the school of sniffles and coughs.

Our first day was delayed for an hour by a very thick fog, but otherwise they've been pretty stellar so far. COVID isn't on an upswing around here, though my wife deals with at least one or 2 patients each shift that come to the hospital with it. The students seem ready to be back to school, so I reckon it's time to get back to planning and presenting and grading...rinse, repeat.

Norym mentioned strep...my 4yr old girl missed her first day of school while recovering from strep, but she was able to go today.

I went to a high school here to do a table setup. There was a fight on the quad.

What is a "table setup"?

That sounds like when you get ready for a yard sale or something.

Or setting them of for jumping off of things to crash into the table like those crazy Buffalo Bills fans?

I assumed it was kind of like setting up a demonstration game. We did that for FCBD for a couple years, and I think for an open house night at one of the local school districts back when I was at the comic shop a few days a week.

Don't have to work anywhere today. ahhhh.
