“Where is he,” Batman demanded as he looked at the subdued Ubu.

“Who…” came Ubu’s gruff reply.

”You know who,” Batman said, menace clear in his dark voice. “Ra’s Al Ghul.”

Clapping could be heard as a drape on the back wall was drawn to reveal Ra’s Al Ghul.

“Bravo, Detective. You pass. Tell me - how did you know?”

“I traced back and found no mention of you. When I researched The League of Shadows I found nothing but rumors. Combining this with there being no reason to kidnap Stephanie unless they had figured out her identity, I was left with one conclusion. It would have to be someone who was able to deduce my secret identity. You are the only one to do so.” He was bluffing - he knew Deathstroke had such information, but was counting on the Mercenary not having the resources yet to mount another offensive.

“Who are you really?” Batman asked when the mysterious man didn’t respond.

“That Detective… is a long story. As if it were yesterday, I still remember…”
