Well I consider myself a big GL fan, but I really don't ever recall Ganthet being anywhere near Galactus levels of power. Parallax took all of the energy from the Central Battery which was powered by the Guardians. The guardians while dying poured what was left in them into Ganthet. So he was more powerful then a normal Guardians or you might could say he was normal powered since he also had energy in the Battery, but he would actually act and use that power.

After Parallax took that energy he was basically a god. He could alter dimensions, the time stream, take out the entire JLA which included Superman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, etc. He could not be defeatable physically, but since he was a little of his rocker he could be 'outwitted'.

Ion only had a portion of that power and he could be at multiple places at one in the universe. Take out entire space armadas and the like.

Ganthet could never do anything like that, other wise in the Rebirth series he and five GL's could have easily taken out a freed Parallax. Sorry he has the correct dial, TA, and stats comic accuracy wise.

The Q TA was a nice surprise, although making him a GL member would have been ever better (WP for all GLs with Inspiring Command AND a Brilliant Tactician), and probably a bit too cheesy, imho.
Now my Parallax will NEVER see the light of day...

Regardless, I was sold on the GL Set by the inclusion of Abin Sur, Tomar Re and Ch'p alone...

Same here...well I was sold as soon as I know there was one, but Ch'p alone made me go crazy. But Abin Sur, Arisia, Katma Tui, Tomar Re and Ganthet was way too much too pass up. G'nort I don't really care for, but I'll welcome him into the collection, wish it had been a Salaak or redone Kilowag.

I has a 1 on 1 show down with him and KC GL (60 points cheaper). And KC GL took him 5 out of 5 times. It wasn't until the sixth match that Ganthet won.

one mite wonder why wizkids didn't make parallax bettr. now that Ganthet is coming out parallax isn't worth it.

I totally agree with you...Actually thanks, before I read this I knew I didn't like his dial but I wasn't for sure the exact reasons, more like strategic intuition...but you make very valid points that kind of suss it out for me...he is just chalk full of powers that are really wasted on him.

Is Ganthet really twice as powerful as Thanos? I know alot of people don't give Thanos the credit he deserves....How much more powerful is Ganthet than Darkseid? That might give me better perspective...Note: Not really saying you are wrong or anything as I am too unfamiliar with Ganthet(know his role and story and all that but not quite the magnitude and application of his power) to really say that...

Since Thanos deserves zero clicks of TK, Force Blast, Barrier, or the expensive TA, I wouldn't worry too much.

I'd say the powers to worry about driving up Thanos' cost will be Outwit...and possibly Incap and Perplex...But I think even with those raising his price he can turn out great...

I am actually more of a Marvel fan, but since Ganthet is now in heroclix form, it would be cool if they made the other 4 of the Quintessence. I have always had a thing for having Godlike figures (Ares, Loki, Hecate).
