Ravenous leads what's left of the Annihilation Wave on an attack of Earth! Both the pro and anti-regs are taken by surprise, and there are heavy casualties.
Suddenly, another armada of ships lands on Earth, and another alien army starts attacking. The Hulk comes out, and is about to eat Reed, Hank Pym, and Tony...
...when a mystic portal open, and out floats Endgame Thor, who is seriously pissed off at everything that's happened in his absence. He turns Clor into a pineapple. And then goes on the offensive.
And let's just say you don't want to live on Marvel Earth after that.

Okay, first of all, using the "n" word, even in jest, was probably one step too far in the wrong direction. That's an offense punishable by junk shot.
second, you can use it as a verb...I said that. It can have a different meaning, though. That's what I said. Again with the not reading...but whatever.
But not all heroes are registered. That's the point I'm trying to make: the characters we call heroes have always been on either side of the law, with some characters acting under the authority of a legal body (Avengers/UN) and some not (Spider-Man: Menace?). Some of them may have switched from one side of the law to the other, and there might be a greater effort to apprehend and punish those who are "vigilantes," but the status quo is pretty much as it's always been..
Heh........never seen N-A-Z-I referenced as the "n" word. Take as a play on "Soup Nazi".
ANyways................we're on teh same page here. Good post.
Just to reinterate: Actually, yes, you did have to register, if you were a known hero. Jessica Jones had to flee the country because of it.
Also, you have guys like Wonder Man who signed up, and then are being ordered around by SHIELD like soldiers, and he claimed he wasn;t told that he'd have to do that.
You know, i actually think this ending would have worked had the whole series not been so ridiculously delayed. I really think a lot of the backlash is because people are thinking, " I waited months for THIS?!"
Don't get me wrong, I certainly wasn't blown away. But I think if the series had stayed on schedule, this wouldn't seem nearly so bad...

Though it could be that just like a regular draft, while they'll leave you alone 99% of the time, once you go to war that changes (and SHIELD and Tony's crew definitely felt itself at war). You register you'll probably be left alone unless it's "superhero war"; it's the tradeoff you take for wanting to have a spiffy costume and use your powers publically.

Actually
It isn't the registration--its the mandatory service or incarceration that is completely objectionable--to anyone opposed to slavery that is?
Oh come off it. Unless you're Mark Miller and trying to write "Marvel: Class War" (aka: Civil War), let's not start accusing people of not understanding or objecting to slavery. Nothing Luke said sounded like he condoned the idea of slavery. Besides, people back the idea of tossing into jail an unregistered surgeon who operates on someone; that's all Luke is saying - if you do the crime, expect to perform some time.

Not great ending just OK. Hate Iron man even more now. Cap will do something to get back into the game or change it.

As an avid role-playing gamer; I suggest roll20 for all your online rpg needs.

If the pro-reg agenda had been anything like this, I might have enjoyed the book.

Wow. How deep and intellectual you want to appear to be.
How absolutely lame your little piece was. I hope this isn't a reflection of your character...

You forgot the Zombie Universe attacking between the Annihilation Wave and Hulk. Zombie Hulk has daylight removed by WP Hulk.

Well, yes, but surgeons aren't drafted by the government and forced to work directly for them, are they?

You know what get's me worst. It's not even the characterization of Tony. It's this simple fact:
Bill Foster's death doesn't make Cap cry and realize he's not going to win this fight.......it's all the insurance adjusters at Farmer's and Allstate crying because of all those claims that will be coming in from all that destruction.
