I don't think he is overcosted, look at V The Thing he has FF and Impervious.

But vet Thing doesn't even come close to matching Rampaging Hulk in attack, defense, or damage values.

Let's face it guys, more than any other figure, the Hulk's fans have been crying for a piece that is a monster. I guess it's Ironic now that in Mutations and Monsters, they get their monster. Gee, I wonder if I could have said monster any more....oh well, I'm sure there will be other monsters in Mutations and Monsters.

He'd still be well worth the it if he'd costed 170 or more points.

I consider any $100 figure to be unplayable by virtue of not having one.

The thing is, I don't think many of us (me definitley) don't care for Zombie or Hulk 2099. I hate the zombie books and would never play zombie hulk, despite his goodness. And Hulk 2099 I don't care for either. Give me a normal Hulk that kicks butt. (And no, I wouldn't consider Green Scar normal, despite his amazing dial...I like the sculpt but the armor just isn't Hulky..)

Yes, he is better than 0 range figs we have seen in the past at his price area. But, in the past, no one has used 100+ point 0 range bricks. sure if its a theme team or just a casual game, but nobody serious about winning is gonna reach for a piece like E juggernaut, despite how he was lauded as too good for the points. Maybe part of the agenda is ballancing close and range combat, or at least bringing non hss, 0 range, 100+ grounded bricks into viability. And honestly I am a huge hulk fan, and I love this NGN, but he is stil gonna have a hard time against a well played OoTS Batman, or virtually any running shot or HSS fig with decent range.

Exactly. Those things are almost always worth more than their cost. And hopefully, you always get two for the price of one.


To be on topic though, I think this Hulk is fine. We, as heroclix players, have suffered the laughable, unplayable, and lame hulk designs for 5 years now. It is time that Hulk fans, including me, are repaid for this atrocious act of anti-Hulkemtism.

I disagree. I think Hulk 2099 and Avengers Hulk are very good. Except Avengers is a giant But other than that he's fierce. Ultimates Hulk was killer if you tk'd him. So ALL the Hulks haven't been bad over the years, just most.

I have to disagree with you disagreeing. Hulk 2099 is OK at best. He is still a giant with very little M&A. If you play the same game I play, then you obviously know that against a "good team" of figures, he becomes wasted points even if he manages to take out one figure.

Avengers Hulk is probably my favorite so far for his representation. But, making him a Giant figure dunked the monkey plain and simple. So, he went from the potential of being the awesome hulk he should be, to a playable hulk in comparison to what we already have.

Ultimates Hulk?? Don't make me laugh. You pay good points for a worthless team ability. Again, NO M&A, which turns him into a pin cushion against any viable team. And don't sell me on that TK mess. A well played team will limit your options when using TK with a tk'ed figure that becomes a lump of potatoes after the tk drop. Dont build something up that is only situational against marginal players the majority of time.

I like Ultimates Hulk. If you don't okay, but he works for me...well, not really anymore but did. Tk'ing him has worked for me a couple times. Sure he has no M +A, but he hits you a couple times your'e dead. I killed Vet Supes with him and a dumpster when ole Blue was trying to heal.

Really? It only cost me about $1.99, the same as the rest of the figures I pulled in the booster. Got a Graviton in there too.
