He really didn't get a chance to show what he could do in the Top 100, so let me try Monarch again. With Opportunist. He'll RS to F19 and attack Hulk, AV10 on DV17. Gets 10. Hulk will take 2. Now he's got 12AV, 4 Damage, Flurry, Impervious and Willpower. Swell.
Polaris will go for a Support roll on Zzzax. AV10 on DV14. Gets 5. Barely enough. Support roll is a pitiful 1.
Punisher's about to be offed next turn, might as well make it on my terms. He attacks Queen Bee. Needs 5, rolls 6. She's out as is he. Kinda did you a favor there.
Wasp carts Flash to F10, she's E9. Flash outwits Monarch's invulnerability.
Mandroid Armor R replaces Punisher at E1.
Mento tks him to G11.
Mandroid tks Hulk to E19. Deadpool perplexes Hulk's attack to 13.
Hulk on Monarch. Needs 4, rolls 4. That's three to Monarch. Second roll needs 3, gets a 6. Monarch rerolls 6. Three more to Monarch. Sorry, this isn't giving you a good shot to replay this figure.
Deadpool to H11, stealthed.
Mandroid Armor R @ G11
Deadpool V @ H11 (Mercenary) (stealthed)
Flash (Crisis) F10 (Damage Shield)
Mento @ E2
Lead and Tin F3 (Sidestep)
Sentinel D3 (Force Field)
Wasp (Ultimates) @ E9 (Point Blank)
Green Scar (4) @ E19 (Repulsor Shield)
"One paralyzing dart out to take you out, Queen Bee," the Punisher says.
She turns just as the dart reaches her and grabs it with her hand. It pierces the skin but worse, it enrages her. "No one threatsssssssss the Queen Bee thisssssss way, I will kill you!".
Furiously she stings him, taking him out with her final breath.
"Hulk sick of Bee Girl! Hulk smash man on the building!". He leaps high to address the Monarch.
"SHIELD Sgt. McElroy Mandroid Unit, reporting for duty."
"Mandroid unit? You've gotta be kidding me?" Deadpool says.
"Be nice, Deadpool," the Wasp says.
"I mean is this the best we got in the superhuman food chain? Was Forbush Man too busy?".
"Enough boys, let's move in with plan 'Bring the Fight to Them', Janet says and several of her team fans out.
And anyway, KC/HT only applies when a figure is moving on their own. I think they can be TKed into position without having to make the roll. So 7 to Monarch already. Geez.
I think I'll need Persuader here. Give him And Stay Down. He'll start on the roof and Charge to F20 attacking the Hulk, AV11 on DV17. And he gets 5. That's bad.
Spymaster on Mandroid. AV9 on DV16 +1. Gets 9. The Mandroid takes 2 after Toughness.
Masque on Mandroid. AV8 on DV14 +1. She gets 12. Would have preferred that with Persuader, but it does mean that he's KOd rather than being lamed to his last click.
"You seem to have quite the reputation, but no one can withstand the power of my Atomic Axe!" the Persuader said, moving in to attack the Hulk.
"Bah!" Hulk said. "You can't hurt me with that," and he batted it away like a feather, much to Persuader's astonishment.
"A suit of Mandroid armor? Oh, please," Spymaster rolled his eyes. "Those things are ancient. I've got the schematics of those things memorized. Like the fatal weakness in the armor right there," he said, getting off a shot at the exact point in the armor that he'd talked about.
"Gah!! What'd you do?" the sergeant asked, all his mobility taken away.
"He's left you a sitting duck for me," Madame Masque pointed out. She fired at the hapless SHIELD agent herself. The suit blew up, leaving the sergeant standing there in his underwear. But only for a moment before he passed out.
Geez Mandroid fell that fast?. I was hoping to use him one more time. Plan B I guess...
Enter Polaris at D2 with tk reach. Lorna tks Sentinel to H13.
Deadpool ups his range to 11 and he goes for Polaris, Dr. Polaris that is. Needs 8, rolls 10. So nice. That's 3 to Dr. P.
Flash outwits Persuader's invulnerable so Green Scar can attack. Needs 5, rolls 12. Unreal, that's 4 total plus kb to H22. Green Scar's on a wp click so next he goes for Monarch (FYI, he has the opportunist feat, you could've used it last turn without a push knowing what might happen this time. Unless I missed something). Needs anything but a 2, rolls 5. Monarch is out.
I whine when I don't do well, I feel guilty when I do, guess I can't win.
Polaris V @ D2 (Telekinetic Reach)
Deadpool V H11 (Mercenary) (stealthed)
Flash (Crisis) F10 (Damage Shield)
Mento E2
Lead and Tin F3 (Sidestep)
Sentinel @ H13 (Force Field)
Wasp (Ultimates) E9 (Point Blank)
Green Scar (4) @@ E19 (Repulsor Shield)
"Wow, a half naked man being picked on mercilessly by a bunch of jailbait? Did I just walk into an episode of "Oz"?" Polaris asks.
"Hello miss, Mento perhaps you can update the lady on the situation while I help deflate Dr. Polaris. You're one of those Champions, aren't you?" Sentinel says as he moves on his way.
"X-Men actually, among others."
"X-Men, huh? And just how do you tell each other apart these days? I mean X-Factor, Exiles, Excalibur?" Mento asks.
"We get a play book every week so we know where to show up," Lorna Dane jokes.
Meanwhile Sentinel makes his move. "I know of you, Dr. Polaris, and frankly you're too big a threat to leave standing here."
"Bring it on, old man, I'm not threatened by your waning abilities mixed with senility. Frankly you should have been disposed of years ago. Let me be the one to do that," he says.
"No. Instead let me be the one to show you why I'm still around so long," Sentinel says. It's an elegant display of fireworks as Sentinel summons the supreme power behind the starheart. Dr. Polaris commands his magnetism that seems an even match for the Justice Society member, with his power proving capable of building quick defenses. Sentinel's confidence and experience prove the Doctor's undoing however as he proves more patient and determined. The imagination behind the starheart deflects the defenses and Dr. Polaris receives a powerful hit to the gut.
"Two against the Hulk. We can do this," the Monarch tells the Persuader. "Let's get him." They rush the Hulk together. Hulk thrusts out his fist and it hits Monarch, koing him immediately.
"Monarch?" Persuader asks.
The Hulk says nothing, merely grits his teeth and rushes the Persauder. He lifts him up effortlessly and throws him hard to the ground below the roof. The long fall is enough to take the wind out of the Persuader..and then some.
One, the obvious, we have a Dr. Polaris and a Polaris playing simultaneously. That could get confusing.
Two, I just looked into Persuader's feat, concerned that I'd forgotten something and his feat is all about critical hits, something he was just vicitm of.
The two Polarises (Polarii?) shouldn't get too confusing. I won't be attacking mine and you won't be attacking yours. I'm sure we can keep it straight.
You're right. I should have used Monarch's Opportunist on Persuader's attack last turn. But until I read over the feature on that feat on the front page, I had forgotten that it could be used on adjacent figures. Bummer that.
One thing. Flash doesn't have LOF to Persuader from where he is. You'd have to move him up considerably to get him to where he could see Persuader. Hulk's base damage is 4, so even with Persuader's Invulnerable, the attack would still be good for 3 damage, even if you don't Outwit. Up to you if you want to move Flash. Wasn't like he would have been pushing anyway.
Well, since you're doing Indy in the other game, I'll follow suit and bring in Captain Mako. If someone's going to miss and get pummeled by the Hulk, may as well make it someone cheap.
He'll start on the roof and charge to F20. Attacks Hulk, AV10 on DV17. Gets 11. A hit at last. He's got Exploit Weakness, so Hulk takes 3 straight damage.
Heatwave to H23
Polaris on Zzzax for Support. AV9 on DV14. Gets 11. Support roll is 2. This is going to take a while.
Heat Wave and Persuader will take on Mako's Arachnos TA.
