1. HIVE Trooper targets Black King (9 vs. 15). Roll is 6,4 for the hit and the KO.
2. The General targets Donald Pierce (12 vs. 15). Roll is 4,3 for the hit. DP takes 2 clicks after toughness. the General takes a push click.
3. Queen Bee will try to finish off DP (6 vs. 13). Roll is 2,2 for the miss. Queen Bee pushes herself to death.
Lately we haven't had many people. Usually 3-4 at the most and sometimes no one. I've been trying to brainstorm ways to increase attendance and plan on talking to Jared about some of them based on how the event tomorrow goes.
I think I'm going to try and show up tomorrow at Star City. I kind of want to play at Extremes at 4:30, but that time doesn't work out too well for me.

That's cool. I'll be there and hopefully we'll get some other players since we're back to actual LE figures now.
Yeah, I was concerned about DP early on in the game. That time that Major Force missed with the HO, may have been a blessing in disguise. Those Poison clicks with Flurry looked nasty with his Armor Piercing.
That early hit on Emma Frost was crucial. After that, you didn't have a lot that could hurt me. I left Black King alone until I knew I could focus on him. Even so, I think the Hellfire club is a bit underpowered. They have little mobility and the Fork SA is only OK. You were essentially playing at a 100+ point disadvantage against this team.
Yeah I knew I was going to be at a disadvantage as soon as you were able to get in close between Queen Bee's Poison/MM combo and The General/Major Force. I wanted to get rid of Prometheus early b/c of the Outwit and other useful powers he has but in the end it didn't make much difference. The sad thing is I rolled pretty well and you rolled below average and still won. Major Force's critical hit on Tessa was huge. Otherwise I would have rolled away from the Poison using Combat Reflexes and been on Stealth/Probability Control. And Black King is just a hard piece to use. You want him to get hit but his values are so low to start with that there's a good chance he'll be halfway through his dial before he can attack.
Looking back I might have tried a different lineup w/ the old White Queen and a flyer like Black Queen. Not having any flyers really hurt me. Donald Pierce though is an ideal candidate for Armor Piercing. I've actually used him in a game before and he does a lot better than people expect. Actually this game went pretty much how the tournament where I used the Hellfire Club went. I did ok, rolled fine but in the end just didn't have enough firepower or damage to pull out wins.
Should I add a second fork to the Hellfire Club, or was it just a bad matchup?

I think the main problem is that the Hellfire club doesn't do a lot of damage up front. Plus they have little mobility. I was thinking that you could add a "Castle" move to your "Fork" move. Once during the game, you could have two figures exchange places.
Exchanging places has a kind of teleporter surreal feel to it.
How about this instead.

Castle: Once during the match 2 units that have LoF to each other may take a FREE action to move upto half their speed as long as they end up adjacent to each other.
This would give them an extra move an attack ability.
I can replace this with the Hellfire guards starting position which doesnt do much.

That would probably help some. Honestly I think it was a combination of the Hellfire Club not having the ability to do lots of damage AND a bad matchup. I was hitting for 1 and 2 and he was hitting for 3 and 4 and so while I made a lot of attacks and rolled well I just didn't do enough damage.
