We used to have this guy who always mispronounced "Sinestro" (sin-ES-tro) as "sil-EES-tro".
Well, I AM pretty awesome.
An understanding of the law of large numbers leads to a realization that what appear to be fantastic improbabilities are not remarkable at all but, merely to be expected.
Funny, but I have always pronounced Chemo as "Kee-mow" (as in, short for chemotherapy, if you will.)
Also, Namor = "Nay-more", not "Nah-more". But that could just be me.

O.K., what the heck is so hard about Mjolner: it is pronounced myol-ner. exactly the way it is spelled. it's not like it's russian where the word for "hi" is pronounced zdravst-vwee-tye. seriously why is this so difficult.
Darkseed bothers me, but darksayd doesn't, as as far as I can tell it is also a correct interpretation, if not canon. Darkseed is just wrong as ei is rarely if ever pronounced ee.
the guyt I play against though regularly mispronounces nearly everything. I also proounce Odin woah-tan, because I'm a jerk (note this is one of many historical pronunciations of his name).
Also I've seen Heimdall Spelled Heimdahl, and I thought this was the correct spelling for a long time.

And can i add for any french langophiles out there that Xavier is more correctly pronounced
Zav-ee-yai
and not
Ex-ay-vee-ar
Though we all know the films and comics do the latter .... curiously earlier cartoons went with the former pronounciation....
Weird huh!
Ditto for Spanish. "X" is the old Spanish for J, as in Mexico - correctly pronounced "Mejico", or Don Quixote - correctly pronounced "Don Quijote." For, as you would know if you watched "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", there was no J in Latin.
Hence, "Xavier" = Javier, or Zavier - rather than "EX-zavier." The cartoon/movies pronounciation of the name just sounds goofy as heck to me.

While were at it who pronounces phonetics, phobia, or phoenix the correct way? I mean by pronouncing it as a fricative bilabial rather than as a fricative labiodental? (think of it as the difference between a V in American English and the B in Cuba)
I realize I'm probably the only one, and most of you have no Idea what I'm talking about.

You got that last part right....Mr Smarty Pants.....(no offence intended)
Any clue as to what that means for us clueless ones!
technically the correct way to pronounce ph is by pursing your lips tightly together then make the P sound without allowing airflow to stop. P and B are both pronounced at the same part of the mouth as ph and the Cuban B (which basically sounds like V). both P and B are stops, which means that airflow stops (or nearly stops) as the consonant is pronounced. P is aspirated (vibration only at the point of contact) while b is un-aspirated (the mouth vibrates at the stop). when you pronounce ph pronounce it like you would a P (no mouth vibration), but don't stop the airflow across your lips.
it should sound the same as American Ears aren't acclimatized to tell the difference ( I'm not sure any language actually uses both pronunciations, but they do comprise two separate phonemes in the IPA)
