Somewhat sadly, the only real purpose of the first day phase is to let players know the game is starting, as far as I'm concerned.

There's a second Golden Eye game, never finished playing it myself :-s it was pretty cool though...

actually I get a lot from day 1 myself...hard to explain but just seeing how people act day 1 lets me know a lot about them for the game...

That is tragic. When I was young(er) I used to have this sweet Bond Encyclopedia that covered up until Goldeneye. It was awesome!

Nightfire was awesome, my wife and I played it constantly for a month, just blowing the hell out've eachother. The actual game was pretty cool too... final boss was a pain in the ###, though.
