I once surrounded Heat Wave with three PC figs (Time Trapper, Zatanna, and someone else) just to prove he wasn't scrap, and I still couldn't get him to hit anything.
- Vet Weather Wizard - he takes all kinds of abuse on the boards, but I think he's fantastic. RCE from 10 range? Of course! Everyone ignores him, then gets upset when he hits them from a mile away!
- Exp Queen Bee - I don't win often, but I took her deep into a big tournament with HIVE and CJ Deathstroke. Ended up losing badly to a Vet Icons Superman, Dr, Mid-Nite, and an army of Lian Harpers to hide them both. *shrug*
- Black Hand - a terrible nuisance who wrecks higher point figures. 5 clicks of penetrating damage, and 2 clicks of Regenerate to do it all over again.
I am very impressed with some people in this thread... others less so.
Other than Charcoal, I don't think I've really rated. I did extremely well in a game with Deadman once, but then got smacked down elsewhere. Phanton Stranger worked or me on a 1500 point satellite JLA team, but that's not a major part of my force. And my other picks were small fractions of my build as well.
I am very impressed with the Parasite usage.
Ive had success w/ deadman too, i head a orgin V green lantern for a whole game b4 and i had a huge succes w/ vet iron man from xplosion/unverse, one game i had him full dail against two taskmasters. in that game he single handledly took down the guys whole team
Trickster & Pied Piper have performed admirably for me. They were key to taking down Supergirl (CR) in one event, and Poison + Super Senses wrecked a Batman team. They duo was surrounded by Batgirl (CR), Robin (AA, methinks), and Nightwing (CR). The Bat-Fam couldn't land any hits in the beginning, and Poison wrecks figs without damage reducers. Ultimately, though, T&PP were beaten into submission. However, they did manage to last three or four turns which led to a lot of Poison damage (overall).
I'm a big fan of Trickster and Pied Piper as well. Just look at my sig and you'll see what havoc I've caused with them.
The Ever Growing Trickster and Pied Piper KO List!

Not removing this until we get Clock King and The Rose-01/23/11
Come on, NECA-Marvel Horror Theme Set 2011!
My unadulterated love for the Super-Adaptoid led me to use him on a fun little Robot team, and as the rest of my team was absolutely shredded, he stood tall. He ended up dispatching pretty much all of my opponent's team. Actually, the key was very simple, and I can't believe I hadn't thought of it before....
"Make all your Shape Change rolls"
It was INSANE. I had never had a run of 5's or 6's like that before (on one die - I roll that on two dice ALL the time... lol). The only damage he took was from pushing, and then I think I 'Power Drained' Regen or Steal Energy to get him back up to his first click. It was flat-out silly. We were BOTH cheering for him at the end.
Good times. (and GREAT thread!)
Be well,
-jason
I played the Wrecking Crew in a 800pt game. The Wrecker was the best of the group. He never fell until the last round when I faces an Anti-Monitor. I was doing good until he started healing.
I love the mental image of the Wrecking Crew giving the Anti-Monitor a decent fight.....
Not so much me, but a friend and regular opponent has made deadly weapons out of the original Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. To the point where he puts them down on a team and I'm tempted to just concede defeat immediately and get on to the next game. Nobody else seems to be able to use them to much effect, but this guy just owns the board with them. Unfailingly.

Its too late at night when I seen this thread to think of one I've already done but I want to go ahead and reserve this space for when I figure out some way to take this a step further and make the Royal Flush Gang work.
