Special Objects are modern legal if the set they came from is modern legal. Right now that includes the Lanterns and Kryptonite that are all light special objects.
My goof. I was thinking only of the token objects. Totally forgot about the newer 3D objects.
Ok, this line on the PAC about Pulse Wave confuses me.
Ok, the 2011 PAC says this about Pulse Wave:
"Give this character a ranged combat action; halve its range value until
the action has been resolved. Draw lines of fire to all characters within range in every direction; these lines of fire are only blocked by walls, blocking and elevated terrain. All game effects possessed or used by other characters with a line of fire drawn to them are ignored until the action has been resolved. At least one opposing character must have a line of fire drawn to it to activate this power. If ignoring a game effect would
cause a character with a line of fire drawn to it to no longer have a line of fire drawn to it, then it is not ignored. If lines of fire can be drawn to two or more characters, this character’s damage value becomes 1 and is locked. Make a single ranged combat attack (even if this character is adjacent to an opposing character) and compare the attack total to the defense value of all other characters with a line of fire drawn to it; each
character hit is dealt damage."
Now, I understand it ignores everything but walls and blocking terrain(also, you get hindering bonus if applicable). But this line confuses me:
"If ignoring a game effect would cause a character with a line of fire drawn to it to no longer have a line of fire drawn to it, then it is not ignored."
The wording almost sounds like you have ignored every power and ability then you have to respect Stealth and Batman TA. What is this part of the power trying to say?

OK so you want to Perplex up your characters range to be able to hit a target, but when you do that you'll also hit your own character that has Perplex with the Pulse Wave. Since Pulse Wave ignores the Perplex, your range then decreases by 1, but since that character is not now in the Pulse Wave radius, it can use Perplex again.........it's an infinite loop. That line means that the Perplex (or other effect) would not be ignored by the Pulse Wave.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
