Again, thanks for the info (I repped you as well). I listened to about the first 7-8 minutes of "Legends Part 2" and, as you indicated, the info is there. The bad news is that it's pretty much the mundane reason I kind of expected/dreaded: "We wanted to kill them and DC wouldn't let us!" I wanted a much jucier backstory.
I found the comments on the Golden Age comics being "arch" (Timm's term) interesting and (as a big fan of Golden Age comics) I did appreciate the fact that the episodes weren't written as "camp" (despite some viewers' contention that they were).* I though the comments on the art were cool too, especially when they mentioned Dick Sprang -- that's who I immediately though of in Part 1 when the ice cream truck drove by.
I'd watched Pt. 1 first and tried to switch back to the uncommented Part 2 after a few minutes of the commented track, but my stupid DVD player refuses to make the switch. So I'll probably watch Pt. 2 on my computer later and then finish up the commentary the second time through.
* Hey, I LIKE roll calls. So bite one, Wally.

I'm dissappointed that they never put the original JSA in Justice League: Unlimited, but it makes sense that the Justice SOCIETY were not members of the Justice LEAGUE...
They could have had an episode where the JSA trained the new JLA members.
How much can you take, and keep moving forward?
The Green Lantern Corps is DC's version of the US Marine Corps.
You do realize I just pointed to the video. I didn't make it? I also happen to think its very funny if you've ever seen a trailer of a David Lynch film.

Umm, I kinda didn't watch it.
I'm sorry!
