1) SWAT tries to run from Ghost Widow because she's scary. Break roll - 1! You'd think his body armor would protect him from poison...
2) Jane tries to break away from the Widow. Break roll - 4! Jane runs over to L17 with WP.

2&3) Thor shoots at Dane, getting a SHIELD Power Action damage boost. 10 vs 14. An 11 deals 4 to Dane after toughness. SWAT Trooper drops from the push.

1. Dane will breakaway. I don't think I've ever rolled so many breakaway rolls in any game. Roll is a 3. And had so many breakaway rolls that were game deciding. I think that's it there.
2. Witchblade Regen roll is a 1. *sigh* Definitely not winning
3. Ghost Widow phases to K16
4. Jean moves to I17

I think cheap tie-up piece effectiveness is my mutant power. I was playing in an Icon/Origins/JL sealed tourney where I had a R Hive Trooper lock down R Icons Supes for 6 turns because he didn't want to waste the attack punching the Hive guy when he could break away and use Running Shot. I suspect I have a genetic mutation which gives all of my sub-20 point guys Plasticity.

1) Tasky will push to Blades Jean. 9 vs 15. He hits with a 9, and a Blades roll of 5 takes Jean down and out. Push to the Master of Tasks.
2) Because we haven't seen much critting of any type this game, Jane will play the odds and strike at Dane with her mighty medical punch. 8 vs 12, but needing a crit for effect. She rolls a (5,1) half-a-crit, which amounts to nothing.

Geez...5 on blades. I coulda used that on any of my Destiny Super senses, breakaway rolls, or Regen rolls. Ugh...it's like my X-factor game...except the opposite of my opponent getting all super senses.
Last turn!
(free) Taskmaster and Jane get a poison click.
1. Ghost Widow pushes to take a swing on Tasky. AV 8 vs DV 14. Roll is a 1, 5 for barely a hit. Tasky's on his last click

1) Thor shoots at Ghost Widow. 10 vs 16. Thor throws double 4s, and a senses of 1 puts Widow out. Arachnos click to Thor.
2) Jane pushes to punch Dane - needs a crit for effect. She gets a crit, but of the miss variety. Good thing for WP, as it prevents Jane from dropping dead.

Good game DC. The rolls just weren't coming to me. Or the knowledge of the game either. Sorry about all the mistakes. I was taking the turns way too fast.
But it was a really close game all the way to the end. But your rolls just proved to be better. Darn Annihilus! Useless the whole game! Would've been really different if his pulsewaves hit. Geez. Or his 5 breakaway rolls. Double Geez.

A really good game! One good break-away by Anni would have dramatically changed everything. So many swing points in this one! Of course, it helps me that Thor has yet to miss in the past 2 games - though now I've gone and jinxed myself!

Yeah lots of things were in your favor...Anni not getting the breakaway rolls, Dane only getting like 1 or 2 clicks of healing after 3 healing tries, Anni missing horrible on 2 pulsewave attacks.
I'm trying to wonder if Deep shadows helped or not....
