The thursday is my one in four thursdays at work so I will not be running a game on the 25th. If Mr Nobody wants to organise something then he is most welcome to. Otherwise there will be a double draw on the next thursday - I am open to suggestions as to what people may want.
Similarly on the 28th Adam, Glen and Jason all said they wouldn't be attending. I will probably not be there either. So If Big Daddy wants to organise something then go ahead.
The Second sunday after that will be :-
400pts Theme Team Swaps
- you have to build a theme team of 400pts
- each round you swap your team, feats and battlefield conditions with your opponent.
- higlander rules for named characters - so no team of only Moleman, for instance (off the top of my head)
- 3 battlefield conditions.
The aim of course is to make a truly, spectacularly bad team and hope that your bad team is worse than your opponents. It is a good way to play with and against figures that you wouldn't otherwise play.
I could run stuff this Sunday if people can make it. Who would be interested? If they have the stuff we could do a Street Fighter sealed (3 packs play blind).
Yeah, i just checked, I have your cap. I won't be there again until thurs 25th, but if you're not there i'll give it to modoc to give back to you. Sorry about the mix up :S
Given there is no game tonight (and i'm at home sick anyway) when will you next be at burwood to do the swap?
Construct a 400 pt team. The Judge rolls a dice - there is a 50/50 chance that you have to play with your opponents team.
So the idea here people is to make balanced teams, because you don't know if you will be playing your team or not.
Thanks to Captain Dave who suggested this format.
After talking to Big Daddy, Sundays game does not have to be a theme team as such but all figures on it have to share a common keyword. We decided this just in case someone couldn't make a theme with the figures they wanted to use.
Also, the kick off on sundays will be arrive at 12 to 12:30 for a 1:00 start. We have tended to drift around and start late, such that we were kicked out last week part-way through a game, and I want to avoid this if possible.
So just checking, there is a game this Sunday (Sept 11), yes?
And it's 400 point team swap, with a common keyword?
With Highlander rules and 3xBFC?
So make a terrible team?
That right?
Ok?
Man, i love duct tape. I love how it tapes. I love the sound that it makes. I love saying it.
Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape.

Yes to all.
There are some named characters that are multiples, such as Stix from indy (there were three brothers) and Multiple Man from marvel and Multiplex from DC. But people like wolverine ...
Strictly speaking the Highlander rule applies to the same figure from the same set (I'm fairly sure this is correct, though I stand to be corrected). So you could have more than one version of wolverine if you wanted and If you do could I please swap teams with you
