This is my kind of dial, simple, no special powers, and all the elements work together. I hardly know anything about the character though, well before my time, and I have never researched this particular character.
I would also like to see Vibe in the DC 75th set, as well as Steel to have the entire Justice League Detroit to play.
But since we already know about the Wonder Twins, there's not much more I can ask for, so I'll just take what we get. I know I am going to run a "true" Super Friends team later this year!!!

I just don't see why they don't alternate the previews, like an anticipated one every one wants to see the dial and then throw in a huh didn't expect that one but it'll be cool to add to the force. I mean you guys may like him bcuz you have known him and read the comics growing up. Me on the other hand waits for previews to look at how the fig looks. That guy just doesn't look as cool to me.
Very nice. I wasn't a fan of (Superman has to inspire EVERYONE, even those he has no right to inspire) retcon as well. Lee's original origin was just fine.
ULTRA-HUMANITE of the SSOSV Clan!

Lee Travis saw a vision of Superman from the future and was inspired to fight crime? I thought he was reading a pulp magazine about The Shadow while listening to The Green Hornet on the radio.
Nice, this should calm the fans who were pissed about the first preview being of a modern character.
No chance.

I know what you mean man, but we already know things like the white lanterns and all that are going to be in the set. I don't know who this guy is, first time I've ever heard of him. No he doesn't look that cool, I mean he doesn't look bad, but it's a preview that gives me a better idea of what to expect. Not ever figure is going to a lantern, this type of preview gives me a broader range of what to expect when I get my hands on some boosters - woohoo!!!!
I will forever be amazed by the people on this site, not you specifically, but people don't get previews and they lose their mind, they get previews, and because it's not a white lantern they lose their mind. It's so funny, yet extremely annoying sometimes, to see people act like 8 year olds that believe everything is owed to them. Personally I'm just glad we are getting some previews going again, no matter what figure it is.

What he said.
Of course, like I mentioned earlier, some folk love the sunshine while others like drinking Pina Coladas in the rain. Takes all knds.

The original Green Lantern inspired Ted "Wildcat" Grant.

It's not a very intuitive leap that a non-masked super-powered spandex guy would inspire a non-powered guy to don a mask and fedora.
There are??? AS that excites me. I mean I know their are other Urban crimefighters but i cant think of many who fit the part long career (Do they own Spirit??)

You are all correct in saying not everything appeals to everyone, but I'm thankful for any preview we get. Rather than stomp my feet and cross my arms demanding that mommy give me a cookie before dinner, I'll check out the dial, maybe read up on a fig I've never heard of, and be glad I got a sneak look at a new set of the best game ever that was just dead a year ago.
The lanterns all have me SUPER jacked up with excitement for this set - this type of preview makes it even better to know what else will be in the mix IMO.
That would not be the point as he has not been active for 25 years. He died a mere 2 years later. And other than a background appearance in JLU, a 2 second appearance in Trinity (before his head was blown off) and a Black Lantern cameo he hasnt been seen since

I still think it'll be sad if a set that purports to be "DC Comics 75th Anniversary" doesn't include their actual first hero (masked or otherwise), Dr. Occult. Bad enough there are so many flavor-of-the-month White Lanterns.....

I sort of see your point, at the same time, I doubt 1% of heroclix players knows or has even heard of that character.
Just because you are the first, doesn't mean you should be an auto-include in an anniversary set IMO. From my little knowledge of comics at all, maybe someone could fill me in, how really iconic is this person? Yea first DC hero, that's cool and all, but iconic? I dunno about that.
Batman = Iconic. Lanterns = Iconic. Maybe lanterns like the white lantern story-line, and the various "colored" lanterns are not iconic - but anything Green Lantern is very iconic.
But I am open to learn more so feel free to fill me in on why he should be included. Other than being first. That's overhyped. Being the first hero you could absolutely be awful. I guess I'm looking for other reasons than that.
