I love Barrier, often build with it as a chief part of my strategy. But a character over 100 points should not be using his actions that way. Barrier is a power for Pyro, Avalanche, Magma, Iceman, and the like. Not for Grodd.

I would not call AA Ultra Humanite a 4 star figure by any means. All the times I've played him he only does a significant amount of damage once. Then he gets hit, then his attack values are worthless. He's just walking outwit, which I can get for a fraction of his cost without a worthless mastermind. His end clicks are fun, but again I can get flurry for a lot cheaper. By the time you get to them he's probably based to no one to use them. And without damage reducers he's very often killed in one action (SI Elektra did that) on those mastermind clicks. Perhaps you can get more use out of him, but he requires quite a bit of finesse for a sub parr performance and a 4 star figure should be better.

A four-star figure has to meet a LOT higher standards than a 4-star ape. Of the ape options, I see Ultra-Humanite as one of the best.

I'm totally doing an ape-army. As soon as I saw the preview and the generics, it was a must. This article just showed me a great direction to take the monkey-carnage. Yes, that is now a hyphenated word.
