They really should have repainted or renamed those sentinels. I just realized that they used the GSX expansion symbol. Without looking specifically at the base, an opponent could be running 6 sentinels of the same mold & name with different dials and its going to be hard to keep up with which ones are which.
oh so true!!!

Anything that ultimately benefits a specific retail chain and/or primarily feeds secondary markets is a mistake, period. All you end up doing is making a good part of your player base feel alienated, particularly when there's no easy solution for those of us in major market areas which were inexplicably excluded. I love the idea of alternate and "special" figures, but the distribution should be less exclusive.
You are forgetting that companies that sell collectibles make their money in the secondary markets and with exclusives. It sucks for players.

Its a real shame, but as long as you have something that's in demand, people will try to hoard it and resell it to make a quick buck for themselves. Its one of the seven deadly sins-avarice. And while Larfleeze made it cool, in reality, people who do this are pricks. They don't care about everyone getting one, they care about milking the market for everything its worth to make a profit. Meanwhile, those of us who actually care about the game are left in one of 2 situations-a) we don't get the figure or b) we shell out the extra money to buy an overpriced version on ebay or from someone else. That's just how it is. I think NECA is doing really well right now and they're seeing if they can survive by hanging with the bigger boys by being sold at chain stores, like Target and TRU. Honestly, I way prefer it to be sold at comic shops than at big chains. But the name of the game is to make money. Unfortunately, its at our expense, apparently.
The Ever Growing Trickster and Pied Piper KO List!
U Ganthet, Labcoat Beast, Cap and Bucky
Not removing this until we get Clock King and The Rose-01/23/11
Come on, NECA-Marvel Horror Theme Set 2011!
I have a Toys R Us about 2 seconds from my house and I'm in the Philly market so I assume they'll have them, so I'll go pick whatever they have and send off to the first realmsers that reply when I post them for what I paid for them and shipping. No reason to not spread the love other than post office's being annoying...
not wanting to be a pain in anyone's areas, but to ask specific questions to the wizkids twitter and "receive what seems to be the issue?" is quite infuriating. I understand that Wizkids is trying to make a go of in/operate in the black/be the top game company out there, this is great. the fact that because I live outside of the US I am unable to get a chance to buy figures from wizkids first distribution run in the stores and not go to ebay/secondary market is completely asinine. I don't understand why it is so hard to sell the same product everywhere and make more money.
I am generally a big supporter of Wizkids and try to see a silver lining, but this has just rubbed me the wrong way. Two releases in a row will most likely not be possible to find in stores for most people outside of the US, and that doesn't make any sense.
mod's I am very sorry about the negativity I have let out about this entire distro situation, but it is only that I want to be able to buy product when it is in stores and not on the secondary market and to be able to support the hobby that I love

What seems to be the issue?
I can understand the frustration re: the TRU exclusives as they aren't available anywhere else, but to what other product are you referring to as unavailable internationally?
If you're referring to the Green Lantern Gravity feed product, those are available internationally to whomever has the ability to sell HeroClix. They are only exclusive to Target in the U.S.
I hope this helps. At least a little.

lols, your avi makes me smile.
the target exclusives and the tru exclusives won't be as available to international customers as they are in the US. That is my main issue. Also asking specific questions on Twitter, and Facebook and getting "what seems to be the issue?" is kind of a slap in the face.

You may want to double check that info regarding the GL gravity feeds. I literally had a discussion about that with Justin yesterday and apparently internationally there is no exclusivity with the GL gravity feed despite the fact that they are exclusive in the U.S. to one retailer.
Again, the GL gravity feed is only exclusive within the U.S., but it is not exclusive to the U.S. (if that mkes any sense). Outside of the U.S. it is available to any retailer that normally sells HeroClix for their customers.
If you're outside the U.S. and want the GL gravity feed, and your retailer is telling you they can't get them due to exclusivity, there's something wrong there and I would encourage you to ask them to call their sales rep or whomever and be sure.

My TRU store is on the list and I do plan on picking up a Sentinel or two. I can understand people being frustrated with the availability of product but I really believe you will see these at Amazon.com somehow.
If not, Wizkids is getting a chance to go to bigger markets and I would like to see them grow. Remember the old days when Clix boxes were all over TRU? I don't think we will see that again but these figures might work out.
Plus, 100 pt Sentinels that can deal penetrating damage. YES PLEASE !!!

I know we are getting the starters, but the single figures seemed in doubt. I will have to check again when I am at shop next.
btw rep to you, after the pm on twitter I was ready to be rash about the entire situation
