I was hoping these would be bad because I'm already broke. I like a lot of the new mechanics that GoW have but most of those dials weren't all that great. These on the other had have the cool mechanics and the dials to back them up (well at least this one does so far heh). But I expect most of these will be good.
That's how I read it and what makes that ability so very scary.
You can keep MC stocked with grenades and the thing that kept grenades from being too nasty was your limited usages of them.
It is 150 points though...how many characters do you think you can fit into your team that can use the grenade mechanic after putting 150 points in for Master Chief and Cortana?

That depends on how many points you're playing, but in 300:
Anya Stroud and Damon Baird, Damon Baird and Dominic Santiago, Mauler and Skorge, Kantus and Damon Baird, Kantus and Dominic Santiago (and some objects), Marcus Fenix and Mauler, Augustus Cole and Mauler.
So, currently, the answer is two. You can add two that can use the grenades in several different combinations.
Personally, I'm hoping for some cheap-o soldiers that get to use them. Maybe 50 point soldiers with decent range, RS, Toughness and Frags or Flashbangs.
Sculpt is not terribly amazing...especially the "Cortana" part :P hopefully they re-use the Cortana sculpt and make her by herself too. Of course he's a beast! He's an SR/chase...look at the rarity on the card.
Cortana was shown as an individual sculpt, a much nicer looking one than the little hand, and the same size a human. This is how the AI in the Halo universe typically appear in the bridge of larger war ships and war rooms planetside, and I think also in some science labs.
Stun grenades in Halo 3: ODST and Flare from Halo 3 and ODST both have the same basic principle.
Unless I'm crazy, which I may just be, the four Grenades in ODST were Frag, Plasma, Spike, and Firebomb. What is this nonexistant Stun grenade you speak of?

You know what, I guess you didn't get to use them. It's been awhile ... someone carried them and threw them, but the player doesn't get them. I can't think of the scene, though.
They are definitely used in Halo Wars, though. I'd almost forgotten about that. It's the Hellbringer (Flamethrower unit) special ability.

The Flare equipment was in Halo 3. Along with the Power Drain and Radar Jammer, all designed to confuse and hinder opponents while being less than lethal (mostly).
Maybe in a book perhaps? It's not like he couldn't have flashbang grenades, it's just a slight surprise is all.
Interesting fact, when ActionClix was first out, people asked if they might make a second set based on Halo Wars. The answer was that they couldn't do any content from Halo Wars because their license didn't cover it. Halo Wars, though part of the Halo franchise, was done be a separate studio, and would have required a separate contract.
