Meanwhile, "Your Highness" was pretty lame. I liked the red band trailer when I saw it, never got around to seeing it in theaters and apparently I could have just watched the trailer and saved myself the time.
I agree. It had potential to make fun of the fantasy genre but fell into a rut of "easy" humor. Full of cheap laughs and snicker inducing moments I was never really impressed, nor did I really laugh at anything that wasn't just a "I can't believe they went there" moment. And trust me, after the first "I can't believe they went there" moment, you *can* believe they were going to go there every time before they even got there.

Foreign film that starts out slow, and if you can make it through some disturbing visuals, there's a great reward waiting in the final half of the movie. Do yourself a favor and if you haven't seen the preview, don't watch the preview before the film. Just watch the film.

I thought the bad guy was the best thing about this movie. There was absolutely no loving the guy or feeling sorry for him. You WANTED him to get what he deserves. Movies need more bad guys like that. A bad guy you really hate.

That's pretty much it exactly. There was potential, but despite a cast that could pretty much handle "funny", it really didn't. I think the one genuine laugh I had was near the end when Danny McBride is trying to give Natalie Portman the Minotaur ####.

Is that anything like the shocker????? Just watched Sharktapus. Love those lame movies.
Just watched Zookeeper with the kids. They liked it, I thought it was okay. Pretty predictable in many ways, standard Kevin James stuff. The surprise was Donnie Wahlberg acting.

You know Donnie's a REALLY good actor I loved his performance in SAW II
Saw Warrior over the weekend. What a damn fine movie. Made me and the girlfriend tear up a few times. If this movie is any indication of future performances, then Tom Hardy is going to be awesome as Bane.

I was presently surprised when I watched X-Men First Class this weekend as well. I was so impressed that I hope they do continue the story which is the plan I hear.
But I do kinda hope they decide to treat this as a restart so they can bring in characters already used in the past movies. I'd love to see more of Colossus and other underused characters from the original trilogy. Not to mention all the continuity glitches they already made themselves.
Watched "Devil". you know....5 people in an elevator. One is the Devil.
A bit heavy handed at times but it wasn't as bad as people said. Also, the security guard explaining how he knew the Devil was afoot......just that implausible forced storytelling that drives me nuts.
I enjoyed it. Definitely amusing to watch it after having seen it repeated numerous times throughout the years, in a myriad of forms, even if it is just a Western version of Yojimbo.
