Not a big fan of de-comicbook-ized costumes, but besides Hawkeye these look pretty good

Wizkids idea of "Game Balance" is produce a lot of Marvel stuff that are mostly average and a few DC sets that blows average back to the stone age

I'm pumped. I'll be honest, I'd be way more into this set if the MA set wasn't coming out like 3 or so months later. I'll probably end up getting the starter set though just to get a nice set of Avengers and all the updated rules and junk.

Or is it an mini series between the two Marvel Sets ?

Wizkids/Neca really needs to be careful about their distribution. I know they want to make money and I wish them well, but it seems there should be a little more strategy in the timing of the distribution.

Doubtful but I'll be optimistic That would be freaking sweeeeeeet!

I think the biggest reason I don't give a damn about this set is that I hate remakes on principle [and this is quite likely to have the most remakes on average of any set to date] except in three very specific situations, being A] when the original was unique or otherwise hard to get and I don't have one, B] the original was craptastic or at least pre-SP, or C] the new one represents a significantly alternate version.

None of these appear to be satisfied in any way in this release, probably because the movie versions of these characters are generally so faithful to the designs of the comic [ironic, because in movie terms that's usually good, but it's a negative here, apparently]. Whereas the Batman movie miniset I'm sorta jonesed for. Just 'cause at the very least they'll all look different.

But yeah, this, at it's size, PLUS Mighty Avengers? Overkill, dude. Overkill.

But if you're into this stuff, awesome. Spend away. It'll increase the chances of WK making more LOTR, or some other set containing new and interesting characters.

Personally I'm just excited about the potential for Agent Coulson clix!

So is this going to be another full set?
