Add me to the list of people confused by the Herald trait.
I didn't see this discussed: Can the Herald even be damaged?
Part of the trait reads, "At the end of your turn, you may freely turn the Herald dial to any slot (It can't be turned in any other way.)
Isn't damage from an opponent included in "any other way"? What about unavoidable damage?
The Herald Dial is a specific dial on Galactus' base that tells you what additional power(s) the chosen Herald can use. That's what you can turn as you wish. The character's dial (the Chosen Herald) is clicked normally.

So, is there any official answer to the "do multi-dial traits carry over between dials, or do you just use them when you're on the dial they're specifically mentioned for?" question?
Or the 'can you pick different heralds in each round of a tournament?' question?

I'm curious about this too

I cannot imagine a better legacy for my cousin.
If you play against the new big G, and you offer a 150 point figure for his herald, at the end of the match if you lose, (1800 point match) does your opponent score 1800 or 1650 points?
This could work against playing big G in this manner if you are trying to win a tournament with a certian # of points.

VP's are awarded for defeated characters. The character offered as a Herald was not defeated, therefore no VP's could be scored for it. So, 1650, in your example.

Incorrect. Galactus is 1800 pts whether you bring a herald or not. If you defeat Galactus and not the herald, then you score 1800 pts. If you defeat both, you score 1950 in an 1800 pt game.
EDIT
Original question was about if Galactus selects the herald you offer from your team. If that happens, Galactus could only score up to your build total minus the figure that became his herald. So a team at the full 1800 pts minus one 150pt figure and Galactus would only get 1650 pts, as was pointed out before I tried to correct them.

He was talking about BEING defeated by Galactus after giving him a 150 point figure.
