With 6 players, you have 12 loyalty cards with 2 traitors, and a balancer that can be either. 1 dealt to each player at the beginning, and another at the halfway point. So there could be no traitors til the halfway point, or there could be 2 to start. Every challenge is done in secret, with 2 random cards added from a pool, and the game is a rather difficult resource management game with NO traitors.

Hard, but fun.

The DHC tournaments will abide. However, more than likely they will continue at cons where Groovy and Gacy attend. If I had to guess, I'd say that Gen Con has a better shot than Philly this year.

I've given it some thought. My conclusion is that my stunningly average looks will relate well to viewers. Time to pitch to a network.

I'm down 13lbs now. YAY! I even had enough calories left at dinner to treat myself to some of my main weakness, ice cream.

Financials aren't good. But they weren't good last time I went, either. Though I think finding ways to swing stuff like that, instead of using discipline and just saving my money, is part of the reason I'm in this hole.

But yeah, I'm visiting my family that same week. And I am already going to be in the hole, PTO-wise, after doing that.

Maybe I was spoiled by working for a bank, but 10 PTO days per year seems a tad low. Even then, I'd expect some leniency on taking unpaid days off.

I am officially super-super-envious. I've been trying to see him for years. Just about a month or so back I finally had tickets to a location that was "crossing paths" at the same time...and I ended up having to give the tickets to someone else due to a scheduling conflict. The man is -amazing- (and simultaneously makes me want to practice my uke more or go "How can one even come close to that?").

My Thursday group is going to start playing Legends of the Wulin next week. I'm pretty stoked about it. The material hasn't officially been released yet, but our GM got a pre-sale.

Basically it's a Kung Fu RPG in the style of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. There's a lot of martial arts styles with benefits and drawbacks to them. The dice mechanic is....interesting. Basically, when you roll, you roll a bunch of D10's. So, for example, if my dice pool was 7, I'd roll 7d10's. Then I try and match them up. So, say I rolled four 5's, I would put those together. Because there were four of them, I have 45. The tens digit is the amount I matched, and the ones digit is what the actual die result is. There's a lot more to it once you address the River (your dice pool is called the Lake), which is where you can store sets you've gotten before, and flood your Lake with them later. A very complex concept for die rolls, but I like the flavor of Chi Flow.

Otherwise the game seems to have a lot of Mutants and Masterminds elements, as well as Savage Worlds elements, and that's all pretty great.

Played in a IG month 3 tournament.

My pulls were some of the worst, I have pulled since last month. The entire store collectively mocked me for roughly 20 minutes and intermittently throughout my games.

Won second place and got a Champion so my jimmies remain unrustled.

I wish I could say the same, but when my pulls are bad in Sealed (which is always), my rolls often follow suit. The only Sealeds I've won are Superman (because it has great commons), Lord of the Rings (because it has great commons) and IG sealeds involving Superman boosters (because Superman has great commons).

Cause the quize/apps on facebook are always right. I took something that was supposed to tell me my real name and it came back with Tom. The guys and I blame tom when I start laughing at some of there more crude jokes/conversations. it's totally toms fault.
