Wow really? I am shocked and saddened by this news. Even though ZC was the other really active Australian on the realms, I never had the privilege of meeting him (been a long time since I've been up to Sydney). I always assumed I would one day, so now I can only hope we meet in a better place than this earth.
We always seemed to agree on things and loved this game, comics, and this community for the same reasons. I'm quite sure that he is a big part of the reason why there is such a strong community of clix players in Sydney thesedays.
My prayers and condolences to all his friends and family.
Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
I'm totally inspired and overwhelmingly emotional at the fact that this thread appears at the top of my HCRealms page when I take a look, as one would, after an extremely stressfull Friday at work. Youse all rock.
Sincerely, tanks to all of you for caring. He'd be blushing now. I had the honour of knowing James for a reasonably long time. I played cards, socially, with James throughout the late Nineties and, when my daughters (uhh, Vampires...) appeared, I (amid the obvious) restructured my focus (for edutainment purposes) and encouraged Senor O'Rance to try out this Heroclix thing (as he was a comic book afficiando and gamer of the noblest kind) which I was truly hooked on (as, you know, happens) and... (as he had many interests that drew his attention, deeply) ...eventually, of course, he did. Sucker...
To the benefit of us all.
O'Rance played a gentleman's game (with Moon Kinghts en mass even... an' you guys have no idea, back in the day, what he did with the Vampires). James talked the talk as he walked the walk. With flair. He believed, truly bellieved, in much. James believed in ghosts and I am glad. Bless him.
I had the pleasure of meeting James last year when I found myself in Sydney. He and the other Sydney players made me feel welcome and at home despite being almost 11,000 miles from home.
My prayers are with his family (clix and biological).
Phyl.
Spelling? Grammar? I laugh at your bourgeois affectations.
You will be missed Zero Cochrane, My condolences to James's family and friends in this terrible time of loss. I only knew him through the boards, but he was a known person on the boards and always had good things to say, and I enjoyed reading. Always a pleasure being around good people and a person who enjoyed (and kept going during the downfall) the game that brings us all here. God Bless
I never dealt with him personally that I can recall but I certainly was aware of his presence on the Realms. He always seemed like a nice guy and had some interesting things to say. It's always sad to hear of someone dying too soon but it seems like his time was spent well in how positive of an affect he had on many lives. My condolences to all his family and friends.
