Oh, and I'm a HUGE fan of that new Doom. He's very economical and very effective. I am a little opposed to ANY DOOM to EVER have the FF keyword, though. He may have helped them from time to time, but it was ALWAYS grudgingly.
It makes more sense to give him the FF keyword than it is to give The Joker and Batman a Named keyword that they can share to team up.
The game tomorrow at my venue is 600 points golden age, no figure over 100 points, highlander. Seems like if there are going to be a lot of figures running around and it's golden age, Brilliant Tactician is a really good idea. Preferably two of them. Anybody got ideas for a keyword (preferably named) that has two different Brilliant Tacticians under 100 points?
Just to let you know he posted the tournament last night and it got changed to Modern Age somewhere between Saturday and yesterday. I sent him a message that he had originally said Golden Age and as such, that's what I've told almost a dozen people who've asked about what the game is.
He also posted that if you add the Gauntlet to a character that the combined point cost of the character and gauntlet needs to still be 100 points or less. I'm sure that if he fixes it to Golden Age that the same rule will apply to Feats since that is what he usually does.
I'm the one who steps from the shadows, all trenchcoat and cigarette and arrogance, ready to deal with the madness. Oh, I've got it all sewn up. I can save you. If it takes the last drop of your blood, I'll drive your demons away. I'll kick them in the bollocks and spit on them when they're down and then I'll be gone back into darkness, leaving only a nod and a wink and a wisecrack. I walk my path alone... who would walk with me?

Yeah, I suppose I would rather have ONE Doom that has that keyword insteado of the scenario that you pointed out which is a reality where most Batmans can be used in a theme with Most Jokers.

Just browsed the tags. Whoever put Venus Dee Milo has ANGERED UP MY BLOOD!

I know what you're saying though. It would be nice if the Fantastic Four and Doom could share a generic keyword, because they have teamed up, but they shouldn't get as much of a bonus for teaming up as an official team like the Avengers, X-Men, or Justice League. I kind of feel that a Named keyword represents a bonus for putting figures together that are suppose to be on a team together. A generic keyword can represent a less perfect team up. So why the heck Gotham is a Named keyword is beyond me especially when it creates so many non-comic accurate team ups. And yes, I know some comic geek can find one issue here or there where a specific hero and villain teamed up, but that doesn't deserve the same benefit as a real TEAM.

Can I get an Amen?

Welcome back. Any chance of us getting to meet in person next week when I will be in the area over Easter weekend?

If the two different Reeds violate no-named dupes your judge needs to read a comic book (although the Ultimate U and Marvel U have never teamed up directly). If they don't then Fantastic Four is an easy choice.
Your best bet is probably Batman Enemies or X-Men/Factor. Beast from Mutations and Monsters is under 100. Vet Harley Quinn is well under 100. That's a start.
Beat me to it.

Disagree. Grudgingly or not, it is nice to have a Doom that is keyworded to team with the FF. It has happened often enough that there ought to be at least one in the game.
I don't think that's a thing, is it? Feats are scored independently of characters. This judge has occasionally structured games the way you're describing, but I don't think that's the way it works officially. Am I wrong?

Did a little research on this. While the rulebook itself didn't seem to have much on it, the players guide outright answered it.

It seems that it is more judge-created scenarios where there is a point maximum for individual figures, and not a specific rule. Since every time I have seen a point maximum the judge had also noted that feats added counted towards that maximum. Therefore I had always thought that this was a rule of the game.
Gotta love when you can answer your own questions.

We still need Magneto to get the X-Men keyword. He's been on the team for quite awhile now and this latest run isn't the first time.

Give me an X-Men Magneto, Wizkids!
For whatever reason, I read that as MEPHISTO. I don't read most X-men comics so I thought that maybe Mephisto had infiltrated the team disguised as a member or something. It sounded like it could be awesome. Now I want that to happen more than I want a Magneto with the X-Men keyword.

Feat cards USED to add to the cost of the character. Before you pointed this out, I thought they still did.
Interesting: It appears that feats add to your force build but not to an individual's point cost. However, when you KO a character that has a feat attached to it, you score that figure and the feat(s) attached as if they were one.
So, if you KO a 150 point Superman with 50 points of feats on him, you will still consider him to be only worth 150 points, but when you KO him, you get 200 points. That just seems weird to me.

mutantwolf and I were talking about this earlier this week, and my understanding at least is that that isn't the case. I don't believe Vendetta gives you bonus points on feats attached to the chosen character, for example. Doesn't mean the judge won't make that a special rule, but I don't think it's an actual rule.
What don't you like about him? I like him a lot.
Commandercool I was recently informed by an un-named source that you are a lover of all things Skyrim
