If they do win in 4 games (which isn't going to be easy) that's going to be quite impressive that an '8 seed' won the Cup in only 18 games (16-2).

It's kinda shameful to me that NBC didn't have the Game on NBC prime last night. I guess I can temporarily excuse it because America's Got Talent has strong ratings, but currently its a bunch of Repeats for Wednesday on NBC prime and The Kings might lift the cup that night, that's stupid for them to pay a bunch of money and promote the Playoffs and then not show the clinching game.

Staying alive with no help from the refs. Hoping Parise and Kovy heal up by Saturday. They need to bench Kovy actually.

Kovy has a 'benching -vito' put into his contract...............in order to pay the fine for benching him the Devils would probably have to sacrifice 2 more First Rounders for cap circumvention.

Did we hear anything about Parise injury? It looked like it might be more than just a 'walk it off' stinger type............that might hurt him going into free-agency if he desides to teast the waters.

If they can't bench him, then they need to keep him off the ice as much as possible. He is obviously not playing at 100% and it's just hurting the team. He is out there way too much.

Parise isn't one of those "fake an injury" type of players. The pain in his face looked legit. I'm really hoping he is ok because he is the best player on the Devils, IMO and they can't afford to lose him. I would really hate to lose him to free agency next year, but it's been looking like he might want to test the waters for awhile.

Oh I know.......Parise is a tough player. What I'm saying is that from his reaction (and the collision) it looked like it's wasn't instant pain that was going to subside with a bit of stretching.

That could be surgury required.

On the contract side I think he's going to test the waters and circle back around and have NJ in his top 3 choices and then evaluate what's best for him.
