Fyi Iron Man/Wolverine LEs are sculpts from Chaos War.

However, take that 23 unique sculpt figs down to 20. The Iron Man, Wolverine, and Fallen One sculpts are all being re-used in Chaos War.

Yep, just like the IH set... It's absolutely getting absurd. No wonder WizKids has to use cheap gimmicks like big box store exclusives, the IG and Bat Belt tourneys, and other gimmicks to sell product. Because the product is too crappy to sell on the actual quality of the product.

But hey, the fan boys don't mind if they only get 14 new sculpts. As long as they get uber-powerful comic-inaccurate dials, they wouldn't care if Invisible Woman used the same sculpt as Spider-Man... as long as the dial is min/max. I just don't get it... basement dwellers that is.... doesn't quality mean anything to these guys? Personally, I expect more from a "collectible" game than massive and epidemic sculpt re-use.

Also take of Fallen One.... that sculpt is being re-used for Human Torch.

Like I said earlier... these past few sets are the beginning of the end of WizKids.

I'm glad I only paid $90 each for my two bricks. I paid $12 for my GG Fast Forces Pack, and only paid $25 for my GG Gravity Feed set... and got 2 extras with it too.

And I didn't pay a dime of sales tax either. Take that WA State.

well, then that's 20 of 70 figs are original. So 50 are re-used.

I calculated the older sets to hover around 31-33% new stuff, and 69-66% re-used with the old R-E-V system(including the LE's... which there were more of in the old days and they were ALWAYS the same sculpts. Now we get 4-5 of them instead of 20)

20 of 70 is 28.5% original and 50 of 70 is 71.5% re-used.

This is even worse than the old R-E-V system from infinity challenge, which is around 31% original and 69% re uses.

Lame!

I can't believe we're getting more repeats in GG than we did in IC from ten years ago...You'd think wizkids could have found better ways to make money off these since then instead of merely RIPPING US OFF.

Pretty much this and saving myself from reading a bunch of pages. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes it's weak.

If the reuse of some sculpts means keeping the high quality as opposed to what it was like when Heroclix first came out, I'm all for it.

Honest question: besides Wolverine, is any of the sculpts confirmed to be reused in CW? Wolverine is on the Poster we saw. I also think someone said the FF Spidey from the Booster Pic looks like the Silver Surfer of GG but have we seen Pics of the Fallen Torch or this Iron Man (the one on the Booster and is modern Iron Man),yet or is this just a rumor (although I wouldn't be surprised if they reuse this Iron Man)?

I get (but personally don't care) that people are angry that chase figures aren't original sculpts but I wonder why people are angry that they reuse Sculpts for the GG LEs. Besides Superman Beyond LEs were always reused Sculpts.

As for the reuse of sculpts in the Main sets themselves, I'm waiting for the Sets post CW to make up my mind about that. If I remember correctly the last 3 Marvel Sets were originally supposed to be smaller Sets anyway and they had to fill up the roster to enlarge them to normal Set-Size. If they continue this in the next full-size Set it will become an issue for me (although no OMG THE SKY IS FALLING F### WIZKIDS!!!! one)

I'd like to see less reuse of sculpts but its not the end of the world for me if it keeps prices down and lets Wizkids turn a profit I can put up with it.
What I would like though is them to make it more obvious from across the table which version is which just from a playability aspect.
I'm not a power gamer just a guy who gets fed up having to take off his glasses when I have to pick up my opponents figures just to remind myself what they are. Something simple like the return of coloured rings or different coloured Oreo bases for main set, ctd and fast forces would help.
Come on Wizkids help me out the more money I spend on vari-focal lenses the less I have to buy figures.

I am just thinking back to the past and how things are better now as far as sculpts are concerned. I do think that it is agreed upon that there is no definable scale, but everyone should have known that after all of those beefy HYDRA generics. The sculpt looks like the character, which is good. When the sculpt doesn't look like the character that is when you have to scratch your head: DC75 Superman and Medusa's Head for example.

I do not expect the sculpts to be absolutely perfect, which is definitely different by perception. As for the OP. His perception of a perfect sculpt is ludicrous.

I'm kind of the same. Though, the sculpt quality isn't there this time. Super Skrull/Xavin looks silly.

that hulk sculpt isnt bad its just out of scale. if you take the scale issue out that sculpt is amazing compared to most of the sculpts of him we have gotten over the past few years..... BUT why are they reusing sculpts from an older set?? that ticks me off more than anything!!!!


there are a few more reused sculpts that you didn't list that shouldn't have been reused but you get where im going with this i think now so i shouldn't have to list them as well

in the past the LEs have allways been from the same set... not from other older sets. THAT is whats ticking me off about the LEs.

im fine with LEs being a reused sculpt because that's what they have always been. but they have never used older sculpts from other sets for the LEs of the new set.

They needed a hulk and this sculpt fit the theme better than the other one? I think it went like this:

"Soooo, what Theme are we using for the LEs of GG??"
"how about that old what if-story with the newer fantastic four"
"didn't we already do them in the last set?"
"Nooo, not the new FF, the newER FF"
"Ok, sounds good. Which Characters do we need?"
"Spiderman, Iron Man, Hulk and Wolverine"
"But only Hulk was in this Set and this Hulk doesn't look anything like he did in the Story"
(Emphasis by me"Then let's use some sculpts form the last and the next set. It is a good idea for a LE-Theme and why shouldn't we do it just because these characters weren't in this set!!!!
