A funny work story.

The local Power Utility called and complained that their radio system was not working as well as it was on Friday.

So I send a tech out Monday and he says that there is something wrong, but the EQ on the ground looks ok, need a tower crew to check out the Antennae and Coax.

He mentions an orange-ish powder everywhere.

This AM the tower crew gets out and monkey up the tower and looks around. The Radio Antenna and Coax have some small holes scattered about, and the PTP Radio and Dish also have holes and the PTP Antenna is trashed.

So while the tower crew is up doing its job, the tech wanders around a bit and finds a couple hundred shotgun shells and some clay pigeons. Some idiot had been out shooting and shot up a radio tower. Now the Police are involved.

I wish, I'm poor else I'd be heading out to NYCC next weekend :-/. That was the original plan but I couldn't afford to go so I was going to meet her in Kansas City with us splitting my plane ticket to there. Now I'm left with a stay vacation with the thougths of what I was supposed to be doing, that I'd finally get that night I wanted where I just held her through the night, I feel asleep with her laying next to me and would wake up with her still there. Now all I have is her stuffed penguin and her unwashed pillowcase :s
