mercer, I've been reading Titans comics all of my life since the Wolman/Perez era in the 80's. Starfire isn't dead. Where did you hear or read that?
Carlosmucha, actually all of them (REV) are Titans. She took a small break in the comics when they tried to get a newer (hipper?) cast of characters, when Dan Jurgens wrote for the Titans. But she's been pretty relevent the last couple of storylines of the now folding Titans book. And she'll be in the animated series and new Titans comic. But for your questions I would say the rookie and experienced versions would fit.

I'm sorry, but I'm still hung up on that paint job. Alien? Sure. Fine. But this face looks like she's going to pull away the football when I try to kick it (AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!)

I was wondering the same thing, Grinner. I even posted about it a little bit back on this. I know she went out into space for a while, but I don't remember any stories involving her dying. And I have almost every issue of every version of the Titans. Unless it was in another comic I don't think she ever died.

Well she might have died in the Kingdom Come storyline...Robin was clearly single and his daughter with the purple suit/energy blasts and green eyes...
That girl ended up being pretty messed up..
Both sets of grandparents murdered...Uncle Bruce's parents...murdered...both parents superheroes and may die at any time....
Originally posted by ArnoldFriend That makes her the 3rd longest striking range with a range of 16 right? (12/2= 6 + 10 range)
That's also the longest for any REV versions right?
Wth 1 perplexer, her running shot can go up to 7 (because its 13/2 roudned up).
I'm not surprised if we wll see more 12 range characters (a few) here becasue we are constantly seeing the envelope slightly being pushed.
Which I dislike...only cause they've already covered power boosting in the comics with their REV system...I dislike that later sets introduce characters that have these suddenly huge numbers...sure, some characters are going to be bigger or better in some marginal niche...the more obscure the characters the more random the numbers...but Kory having a movement of 12 and range 10??? Will the next set introduce necessitate a GL with a 12 movement and 12 range..."All new, with longest range yet!!" I mean she doesn't have any multiples of lightspeed travel as far as I know...certainly nothing faster than Supes...especially OWAW Supes with the Pluto to Earth at 20c trip...or a GL that casually travel the universe...they all better have higher movements then...and then where will it stop? For the really superfast space fliers...you'd need monstrous numbers to keep up...it's just a little distasteful the number boosting...
It's an arms race and I dislike it cause it will inevitably make most of the early characters weak in comparision...

Well, most of the 'superfast space fliers' don't move that fast within an atmosphere. Just about every superhero game out there (and many comic book stories too) have different speeds for 'in combat' travel, 'long distance' travel and 'space' travel. So just because Uber-Spacedude can fly from Earth to Alpha Centauri in time for breakfast doesn't mean that he moves that fast going from Cityville to Hugetropolis.
Originally posted by Grinner Then that must have been one heck of a zombie in the story-arc that ended the most recent Titans' title. Kory was pretty much the central character.
I don't read the Titans (isn't it cancelled now?), but I know in the first four issues of the Nightwing series, she's mentioned as being dead. Something about #### and Kory getting married, but she dies first..... Maybe I should read more comics! Anyway, if she's alive again, I'm happy to be wrong.....

I think you need to go back and re-read your Nightwing. It was the minister who was killed, not Kory. That's a pretty major difference, and I'm pretty sure Chuck Dixon didn't mix 'em up. I'd check mine, but that'd mean digging the boxes out of the basement
And yes, the Titans is cancelled (which was why I called it the story arc that ended the latest Titans' title), with a new Teen Titans title coming this summer with characters from both the Titans (including, I believe, Kory) and from Young Justice.
Grinner, Kory is most definitely in the new comic & animated series, too. For some of you who don't know Geoff Johns, the writer for JSA in particular and a few other titles as well, will be the writer of the New Titans comic. There was a preview in the last Wizard magazine. Pretty interesting. Tension filled, with all of the surviving Young Justice people together, and Changeling/Beast Boy being his usual comedic self.

True, but straight line travel and even swooping around...it's difficult to make a case for Kory to have this high a movement...
WW has kept up with Jesse Quick going .5c in the atmosphere...
Supes has been shown to be around this or faster, at least currently keeping up with Flash in atmosphere
Martian Manhunter can blow through Mach Ten...even controlled dogfighting in the mach speeds...
GL's have been shown to be able to fly alongside Flash...they just can't respond at that speed...but certainly as fast or faster than anything Kory's shown to be able to do...
And is she really faster than say..Booster Gold? Has there been anything in the comics to suggest this...especially since her movement is so huge...there has to be precedent for it rather than artificial stat boosting to make this new set the latest and greatest...nothing shown that she's faster than WW, Supes, GL....definitely not Flash...so all of them better be up there when they are released/redone
