Wonder Woman returned to Greece and learned that Hercules had been taken during her absence by Ares and Hecate. Ares had left her taunts and defied Wonder Woman to rescue her lover.

Wonder Woman moved to enter Hecate's stronghold and found her way blocked by Bron of the Crossgen universe and Ian Nottingham of the Image universe.

Wonder Woman made short work of both of them.

She then found herself facing Ares and Hecate.

Darkseid had sent his son Kalibak on a mission to claim Asgard for Apokolips.

He sent along the General, Wade Eiling in his commandeered Shaggy Man body and Major Force along with a large force of Parademons. T.O. Morrow had sent along some Sentinels which seemed apropos since some Marvel Universe mutants were defending the city.

Darkseid had not foreseen the intervention of the Thunder god Thor.

Day 42: near Midnight Earth time, on a replicated moon of Titan based on the 31st century home of Saturn Girl of the DC universe in an alternate reality.

The Midgard Serpent was irked to have been disturbed from it's slumber.

Somehow it had been forced into the stolen guise of Fin Fang Foom that it sometimes used.

Uncertain as to what might have been the point of all this, the Serpent simply conjured itself back to it's rest on the ocean floor, not realising it was in a different reality.

The Serpent's bulk (part of it) rested less then a mile from where great Cthulhu also slumbered in the depths of the Pacific ocean.

All right, let me wrap this arc up and pick up where I left off with the 2099 collector set arc next.

I was expecting (and looking forward to) moving on to the DC Origins set but I realized I was overlooking the 2099 set which was the next thing released by Wizkids.

So 2099 is next.

I also had the mistaken idea that the set had a Spiderman 2099 figure in it which is why I didn't include the character in the Fantastic Forces arc.

I know he turns up again in the Spiderman set but I figure it would if I just included him now with the other 2099 characters. Who knows if I'll live long enough to get to the Spiderman set. Might as well include him now. I've done this before with characters I wanted to use in this story and forgot to like Weather Wizard and Vampire Batman.
