I hated the sculpt so I just bought the Heroscape Thanos and glued him to the stone that Galactic Guardians Dr. Doom stands on with the energy pulled up and glued to his fist. I had to level the stone on the bottom but it looks great.

Yes, he can.

If Thanos is in a one person team, is he allowed to use the power cosmic ability of Willpower and his powers cannot be outwitted?

Yes he can. He doesn't need to be a part of themed team in order to use team abilities. If he's by himself, he can use Power Cosmic just fine, which does indeed grant Willpower and prevent his powers from being countered.

Hmm, I wasn't aware that Team Abilities depended on theme teams; characters with Power Cosmic just get to use Power Cosmic, and theme teams grant other benefits. Some team abilities require another character with the same team ability, like X-Men, but am I wrong? Does a stray PC/Quint piece not get to use it if they aren't on a theme team? My Mystics pieces aren't going to like it if everyone else needs Mystics, or a matching keyword, or no Mystics/ :_(

My actual reason for posting is a really pointless quandary; is Thanos immune to the straight jacket? I can imagine it not coming up much, but Thanos says he cannot be "assigned" a Relic or Resource, and I say the straight jacket isn't assigned; it's placed on his card, by his opponent, and applies an effect. My friend somewhat disagrees, so I thought I'd ask. Can Thanos' cosmic might shrug off the Houdini jacket, or is he as stuck by crazy coat as anyone else?

Thanos' minions can't be on a theme team with him because he doesn't have Minions of Thanos. That seems odd.

Thanos can be on a Black Order theme team based on that keyword. Most of his "minions" have the Black Order keyword (but not all, I agree).

If your character has a Team Ability (symbol on dial and on card), they can use that TA whether or not they are on a theme team.

By definition, a "one man army" is not a theme team - a theme team (named or generic) requires at least two members with a common keyword.

Ive got a question kind of about characters who can't have relics/resources in general. if I'm using The Phoenix Force, because it instantly equips to all characters, what happens? Does it just ignore him him, or can you just not use it at all???

it doesn't instantly equip - you have to pay the 3 points for each "assigned character".

You just don't pay the 3 points for him as he's not assigned to it.

You can use it for the rest of your squad (one or more).

To pile on ... Any character with the Black Order keyword anywhere on the map.

Does he have the keyword? Yes.

Then he can remove a token from himself.

This is not "plain vanilla Leadership" - this is LEADERSHIP, Thanos-style.
