I never used to like live albums, until after I saw Iron Maiden in concert.

I got into Queensryche when Rage for Order came out. I like everything from their EP up through their Empire Album. After that, I lost interest in what they were doing.

Then I heard this song:


I thought, "that's pretty good, that's their classic sound and the song is pretty strong. Let me look into what Queensryche is up to". So, I read up on all of their drama, and now see what the fallout is.

While this current iteration of the band only has 3 of the 5 original members, it does have the bassist and the drummer (which are my 2 favorite members because I love how they play off of each other). It's missing the better guitarist, DeGarmo, because he quit the band a couple of times (independent of the all the recent drama). I like the new singer; he seems quite capable. I don't have any issues with the new guitarist. I do like the music they're making now.

Compared to how much concert tickets usually are, this show is pretty affordable and should be a fun night.

Played some pick-up clix and X-Wing yesterday afternoon, much fun was had.

Played an early rebellion match in X-Wing. TIES and Bombers vs X,Z and Hawks. My Empire got papercut to death by the lone Ion Turret.

First day of "real" work today. I will likely be on here again, depending on if we're just going to be sitting around doing nothing (which is what a normal day of work generally is for me).

No games for me this weekend. Saturday I worked, went to a mini convention and sat on my new deck drinking.
I was too hungover sunday for x-wing.

I hope to get in some games Wednesday, I found my old Simon Williams LE and I owe Dennis a game so he can play Rebel Aces
